Regrets, I have a few. Read this before purchasing here - especially about asking about after install support. Installed an android system in my low mileage 2013 Mercedes. Was referred to them by Mercedes Benz of Burlington (who I have since alerted to my experience). The system never really worked right. I went in to have it fixed 2 or 3 times, had a number of follow up emails and then eventually they passed me off to the manufacturer that I had to communicate with thru WhatsApp. Non-native English speaking, in a different time zone (Asia I think) and it was difficult. Spent 50+ hours trouble shooting, sending videos, pictures, being accused of not knowing how to operate electronics, etc to no avail. Manufacturer even convinced me to buy a new iPhone (which I did) and it still didn’t work right. Sometimes it would work for a whole week and it was glorious and other times I would have to pull over on the highway to reboot my phone and my car. I was 45 mins away from Sound in Motion so constantly popping in or dropping off in Watertown was never really a good option. Ultimately a waste of time and money. About $1,500 and countless hours of frustration. I had it removed and something else installed directly into dash that works perfectly fine. I wish I had done that instead at the outset as opposed to what I was sold. The whole situation has left me feeling “yucky.” In the end I think it was just the quality of product being sold from here and inability of o support what was sold. Buyer Beware - if you buy a faulty unit as I did you may end up regretting it and being out of pocket a lot of money. Before you buy here, be sure to ask them if they will force you to communicate with someone who doesn’t speak fluent English in another time zone for all post-installation support. If I had known, I wouldn’t have purchased. Regrets, I have a few.
Sound in Motion completely transformed the audio system in my Porsche 911 (992). They also refinished the paint and added an interior/exterior ceramic coating. I trusted Jim, Derek, and Fernando to completely strip the car down to the frame, add ResoNix sound-proofing material to the floorboard, wheel wells, ceiling, doors and pillars. The professionalism and quality of work was immaculate. We did DynAudio & Microprecision speakers, Mosconi amps, and an Illusion Audio reverse firing carbon fiber sub, in their renowned custom, hand-made footwell subwoofer boxes. I feel as if I am in a quiet recording studio when I drive around, hearing every little detail of my favorite music. Coley took her time, with hands of gold, to create a mirror-like finish to the paint finding every little hidden imperfection. Fernando is a master electrician, who was able to completely take the car apart, into 10000 pieces, and put them back together better than the factory. No rattles, bumps, shorts, or issues. The tune was immaculate, as Derek's ear is similar to a Michelin starred chef, with the seasoning on top. I am in the process of buying another car, and have already reached out to the team to line up another install. THANK YOU SOUND IN MOTION!
I had a new car radio installed on my old Honda Civic a week ago by the gents at this location and I have been thrilled with the outcome. Cons: their work is expensive. The shop is busy and it took a couple weeks to find an opening to get the work done. Pros: the work was done professionally. The install looks great. The radio they helped me choose has all the features I was requesting. It was integrated with the built in buttons and knobs in my car without complication. All the features of my car were retained. Communication with the shop was excellent. Phone calls were answered. Emails were responded to promptly. Overall: you’ll pay a premium to get the work done here. You are paying for the pros listed above and the confidence that the work will be done right on a vehicle you care about. I found the premium to be worth it and I think you will too. I’ll be back for more in the future.
This review is for me give long time ago, actually about 2 years ago they install a remote start on my Toyota Camry and till today it works fine. Based on quality of service and prices I will be back to install a back up camera system 😎👍
Thank you Sound In motion for the great service. Just had 2 channel dashcam and radar detector hard -wired. Everything works great and I am very crazy about the car being clean after its been worked on and received the car the way I dropped it off.
