I've been a patient with Dr Van Wicklen since around 1988, and have had a range of dental work performed over the years, all excellently. This dental office is the most pleasant and comfortable I have been to. The professional staff is so friendly and committed to patient service and comfort.
This dentist was a very welcome change from my previous two dental groups! My previous dentist had gotten too busy and not responsive to my questions/concerns, and was pushing me to get major dental work. After I left them and signed up for new insurance that better covered my needs, my 2nd previous dentist overcharged me and also said I needed major dental work. Then I went to UT Health Sci Ctr in SA, but they were too far for me. Finally, I checked Yelp for a nearby dentist and found this one (South Austin Dentist) who has been a dentist for about 30 years and was highly recommended. He was wonderful — welcoming, knowledgeable, reassuring, and available for not only a consultation but a quick sealing of exposed gums at short notice. He’s my dentist now!
