I don’t use the right reviews, but based on the reviews, I read I was a bit skeptical, but I went ahead and booked my head spot appointment anyway. I arrived early in Reno before the holidays to try to beat the storm so I thought what better way to spend my time to enjoy a spa treatment. I read a review about the location of the head, spa treatment room, and thought how bad couldn’t be. Well turns out they were right. When I was first greeted at the front desk, they were very friendly. Leslie greeted Me and showed me to the spa showers, etc.. She was very friendly and helpful. I was then called to my treatment room by Tori who is also very nice. Once I got shown to my room, this is where it all goes wrong. tori brought me back out front into the lobby and salon area. It was loud and noisy and cold. I wasn’t prepared. I was still in my robe from the spa with a wet towel wrapped around me thinking I was going to go in a private room where it was going to be warm and cozy. I asked her if she would get me a dry towel and she did however I thought that they would at least offer a warm blanket. I was called the entire time . I was placed right next to the public bathroom, where a man and women both have access that was very unnerving knowing I was just in a towel. Then there was the pedicure happening, and the other two ladies carried on the entire time about a bunch of personal stuff they were loud. The A pedicure should’ve known that to be a little bit quiet, knowing there was a treatment going on just on the other side of the wall. I also could hear the lobby where people were coming and going checking in and out. I will definitely think twice about coming back based on my first initial experience. Quite disappointing because the spa and itself is quite lovely

I had an amazing experience. Donna was so nice and pleasant. I had the 50 minute facial/ massage and it was so relaxing. I would definitely recommend Donna and will be going back again.

Bruh! This place is amazing!!! So many services available for hair, body, and mind. We started with a couples retreat massage and the hit up the pool size hot tub which was awesome! Then we took a nap in the relaxation lounge for an hour and a half before our pedicure appointments. Heather and Miah were the softest and gentlest nail technicians ever! We had the BESTEST time relaxing and will definitely be back!

Review for GSR Spa (8/16/25) I booked a massage for my sister-in-law’s birthday, and what should have been a relaxing first-time spa experience turned into a huge disappointment. From the start, the staff was unwelcoming. The person who escorted her to the room was cold, did not offer a tour, did not point out the bathroom, and did not provide a robe or basic guidance. She was simply left in the room, confused, and had to ask other staff where things were. This is not the level of service anyone should receive at a spa, especially on their very first visit. When it came time for her massage, the therapist was surprised she wasn’t prepared and had to stop to explain everything — something that should have been handled before. This made the experience awkward and stressful instead of relaxing. I paid nearly $200 for this treatment, and it was absolutely not worth it. For a spa that charges premium prices, the lack of professionalism and hospitality is unacceptable. Guests should be treated with the same care and respect, regardless of race or background. I will not be recommending GSR Spa to anyone. If you want to be treated kindly and given the full spa experience, look elsewhere.

My mom loved 🥰 her spa day here. She got a massage 💆♀️ & enjoyed the sauna 🧖♀️. Will be back to check out the other prices here when I want to have a spa date 📆 with my husband.
