I am thoroughly enjoying my Spanish class at CCLS. Julio Cesar is my teacher and I am at Level 4. My goal is to transition from the grammar-focused Spanish that I learned many years ago in school to being able to understand and speak it fluently. After just a few classes, this goal is well underway. Esta class es el mejor!

My experience as a beginning 57-year-old Spanish student at CCLS has exceeded my expectations. After spending 4 weeks attending a school in Spain daily last summer, I learned very little Spanish and felt defeated. However, I found CCLS online this fall and after just 2 lessons, I began understanding and speaking this beautiful language! The reason for my success is because the methodology at CCLS teaches a student to understand what the teacher is saying in order to respond accordingly. Amazing! As simplistic as this idea sounds, conversational language can be learned in the absence of rote-memorization, recitation and old-school workbook exercises. I highly recommend CCLS for beginners and advanced students who desire to gain command of their desired new language. Oh, and the staff is positively fabulous and welcoming!
I grew up in a home with some Spanish being spoken by my Central American mother, but not consistently enough for me to conjugate and speak with confidence, which left me listening to conversations in Spanish (understanding a lot but not all) and responding in English. I wanted to work on changing that and found CCLS! I really appreciated the immersive style of the classes and found myself dusting off skills/learning new things that are helping reestablish some of the building blocks of the Spanish language I needed. Excited to continue and get better. Thank you!
CCLS is a great school to learn Spanish, English or Portuguese. I didn’t know one word of Spanish when I started. The school caters to all levels. The teachers are top Notch and Cinthya does a great job running the school. I attend Monday and Wednesday from 6-8pm. It’s laid back and fun. The classes are small — 4 to 7 students. The school emphasizes speaking Spanish from day one and teaches you conversational skills. I highly recommend it for learners of all levels.
