The experience here used to be so much better before the pandemic and before they built the new building. I was excited to see the new meditation Hall but really disappointed to see it packed to the gills with attendees sitting in hard chairs. Gone were the blankets and cushions from the old days. There were a few people sitting on the floor in front but the majority were in very hard chairs. It felt like a very uncomfortable church. It used to be a very authentic place to learn about meditation, but it just feels like a huge cash grab now. They had 200 attendees at a one-day retreat recently, each paying $200 to spend a good portion of the day walking around the parking lot with 200 people doing walking meditation. That is $40,000 of revenue for what looked like something from an undead movie. Thank you for the old days when things were authentic and not overpriced and over commercialized.
