Took the Motorcycle beginner class here. My instructors were Rocky and Rip, Rocky was like the experienced grandpa with endless stories to tell, and Rip was one of the calmest people I've ever met, seriously being around him alone will make you less nervous. Most of us had never been on a bike before, and people made mistakes, we had one classmate even go off the court and into the grass, but they didn't get agitated at all. It is a intense two days, if you've never been on a bike you will be sore from holding one up for 5 hours two days straight. They had great loaner bikes, including rebel 300's which is what i rode on. Really don't be nervous, they make the exercises harder than what the actual test requires so when your learning with them and getting anxious about "Oh i can just barley not do this u-turn i hope i pass the final test!" You get to the final test, and its a breeze because you have a extra foot or two of space! Ended up with only -3 on skills, and got 50/50 on written. Great way of teaching. Anyway, here's the bike i bought after passing :)
This course is life saving. Being a new rider the MSF course was a must for me, and thank God for them. I took my course about a month ago, and everyday I encounter something I learned in class. I hear my instructor Kayla’s voice regularly. “LOOK UP” “EYES AND HEAD WHERE YOU WANT TO GO” “LOOK THROUGH YOUR TURN” I practice the drills we learned in small parking lots, and I’m still no where near a seasoned rider but I feel comfortable in what I have learned to be on the road safely and confidently. All this being said, Kayla was awesome. Skilled, informative, Patient, fun but no nonsense, just like a bike. Unfortunately, the other instructor wasn’t as great in my opinion. (I don’t want to mention his name in hopes to not embarrass but maybe he will work on things.) He was short with us, seemed impatient in general and if he had to re-explain a drill more than twice,(an older guy in our course had some trouble getting things) he would get this very intense grin on his face met with frustration. Especially if Kayla wasn’t present. Which I found more uncomfortable than learning something new and dangerous. When I come back for my other class, I hope Kayla is involved but he isn’t. I don’t think I’d stay. I don’t remember anything he said or did except for his rushful, arrogant, demeanor. Kayla she’s a PRO. She’s extremely real about the dangers and does her best to navigate and educate you through them as a beginner. If it wasn’t for her being an instructor in the course, and it had just been the other guy, I’m not sure I would have continued to ride. This course is worth every penny. Grab a course with Kayla!
My Daughter had a fantastic experience with Carl (Driver's Ed Instructor). He made class fun and enjoyable for the students. My Daughter came into the class very nervous and Carl was so helpful and very encouraging especially when it came to her drives. He definitely put my Daughter's nerves at ease! I highly recommend this company for Driver's Ed.
ray was a fantastic instructor, wanted to ride for a long time had to put it off for a while but i just finished the 2 day learn to ride class with him and his teachings were not only realistic but you can tell he knew how to teach he's not the yell and get made at you instructor but instead more of a slow things down to better explain the situation. i was doing just fine in the course up until the U-turn activity i struggled with not going to wide instead of yelling and getting pissy like the other instructor which only pissed me off more he was understanding of what was going on and was informative and encouraging. I was very nervous for the riding test but ray helped the nerves and i passed first try. before this class i never even touched a motorcycle and in just two days i felt confident and safe enough to go on the road. this isn't just some bs DOL follow these rules class, its realistic they teach you how it actually works on the road and how to actually be safe.
Took the motorcycle class this week and it was the best experience both Lara and Shawn were very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. I don't do well in class time but Shawns a very animated individual and kept my attention going. The bikes they supply are great as well. I'll for sure recommend the class to my buddies. Thanks guys safe riding
