I brought my best friend here for her birthday and really had a time enjoying the mocktails, mashup music and food. I had already had a long hard day and was starving so I was not truly happy with the roll out & process of ordering food all at once as my server Ali explained we had to do without getting a starter first and more time to look over the menu which Everything feel a bit rushed and piled on. I would have liked more time to enjoy the bread before my appetizer came out… with that Ali suggested I get my lobster linguini Cajun style with blackened shrimp- something I truly didn’t want but he sounded convincing and like I needed to try the chefs special without indicating the impact and how much extra it would truly cost- which as a regular girl on a budget -was highly comical to learn it’s $12 per additional shrimp! Who did he think I am!? A drug dealing scammer? LOL Also this place is ready to poison you with a large list of alcoholic beverages which they will give for free for your birthday instead of a dessert- Ali kindly compt our desert since we don’t drink and had mocktails and water for the night. The chocolate cake was so cold and thick I’m glad I didn’t order one for myself because it didn’t look or taste as rich and moist as previous pix I saw. My friend said he Mac and cheese was bland, I tasted the Cheesy-ness in it, but wasn’t really impressed with it overall. My “Cajun shrimp and lobster linguini” was OK… We both concluded we could season our dishes better at home though she did enjoy her beer battered fish and chips which we had to keep asking for extra tarter sauce as our ever so kind server seemed to keep forgetting. It’s cute or whatever, but not worth the viral hype or price. there honestly cuter places with better bang for my buck, but hey at least now I know for myself what the name Is all about …an overpriced experience. STK doesn’t ever have to worry about seeing me again.
Great starters (crab cakes and calamari) and strong entrees—the ribeye and halibut were solid, and the mac and cheese was the best we’ve had at any steakhouse. Desserts were mixed: the cloud cake was good, but the cookie was overcooked and crumbly. The biggest letdown was the service. Our server was fairly new and friendly but frequently absent, rarely checked in, and didn’t stay on top of drinks or water. For a $400+ meal, the service didn’t match the price.
Came for dinner with my friend and needless to say - I won’t return. The restaurant sells itself as “upscale” but it’s far from that. The service was terrible (still tipped), food not so good (extremely overpriced), and the dress code is very confusing (very, very casual). They offer valet ($10) and it’s as expected. Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly hostess; however, we had to wait for our table to be ready. Once we were seated, we ordered drinks and it took FOREVER to get a glass of wine and a cocktail (we had to ask the waiter if he remembered to enter them in). For dinner, I settled with a Cesar salad, crab cake, and mac n cheese. Everything was so bland - not even salt & pepper was added (I requested and added my own). I can’t even point out a highlight of the entire meal although taking pics in front of their Christmas tree was nice! Try for yourself but I won’t return unfortunately.
As a vegetarian I had a great experience. The Caesar gem was delicious. I also ordered the strawberry cobbler drink and the a guava drink with gin (can't recall the name) both were an excellent compliment to the meal! I also ordered the regular Mac n cheese. For entrees I had the truffle mushroom pasta which wasn't bad but the tang of the mushrooms was a surprise! And my partner ordered the short ribs with creamed potatoes- cleaned the plate! Haha. We ended the meal with the apple pie the only thing missing was a scoop of ice cream! They wrote happy birthday on the plate which was a sweet touch. The music was nice but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation which I appreciated. Next visit I'd love to try the burrata and more of the sides :) Overall I enjoyed my experience! I took off a star because the service was slow; friendly and personable but slow.
I enjoy STK a lot especially the Cesar salad. I came for my birthday and ordered so much food. Every thing was fresh and cooked very well. I wouldn’t get the salmon it was a little tough, I’d definitely get a different protein. The apple pie was amazing. Our server was amazing never let our cups be empty. The dining space was decorated so cute. Great for a date night or just a night on the town. I’d definitely come back.
