Studio 80 was a lot of fun! Went for a friend's birthday party and they had amazing music - 80s on the main floor and hip hop in another room. Loved the atmosphere - it felt like a normal and welcoming crowd without judgement or pressure. I really wish there was more room to dance which leads me to my pain points - Understandably it's a hot spot but the line for the bathroom was always long and to only have about 8 stalls for a large 2 story club was not enough. Many (almost all) of the seats were reserved, leaving lots of people to stand around, then making it feel more crowded due to the lack of room. Not to mention that some of us just wanted to sit down and to do so, you'd have to go upstairs which was empty. Bar service was a bit slow as well when there were not that many people lined up for drinks, and drinks were pretty pricey. I would go back, they had all the good hits from 90s and 00s hip hop which was so fun to relive!
My response to the owner: A company chooses to place a hold on a tab. Not a bank. I start tabs all over town. Rarely does a business place a hold on a tab. If they do, it’s not for $75. Just to clarify. Original post: Fun club. Two rooms that offer a different vibe. The smaller one is more 90s, while the main room is more 80s. Good place to dance and over all fun. The downfalls were security, who must be off duty cops, walking around among patrons, and ruining the vibe. I’m all for security, but don’t come walking through our group multiple times flashing a flashlight. It’s annoying and unnecessary. There’s a bathroom attendant that makes you feel obligated to tip as he hands you a paper towel to dry your hands. Weird and outdated. Also they put a hold on your tab. It’s a little outdated practice in my opinion.. but what’s worse is I was in the club on Saturday. Today is Wednesday and the hold is still processing. It’s a $75 hold. A hold is fine I guess but four days thus far to process? And it’s on a credit card? I can’t imagine what takes this place so long to process their patron’s purchases. Odd. Would return for a special event but there are definitely some improvements that could be made.
I found a review card and rarely write a review but I visited Studio 80 Saturday and was blown away!! I used to writes blogs about clubs but hadn’t found one I felt worthy of writing home about. The VIBE was amazing college kids to a guy in his 80s dancing his heart out. Our server was Rachel and she had an infectious smile and ensured we were taken care of. This big guy that had the angriest face whose name coincidentally was Guy gave us a tour and a backstory on the club and made us feel like we were VIPs all night. His presence gave us security to relax and let our hair down he even suggested food ideas in the area and was super professional but had a sense of humor and was light hearted. Which leads me to Hart he handled our reservations and made sure we got to our table too. 20 out of 10 highly recommend STUDIO 80 if you want great music, great customer service and a great time!! It felt like a mixture of the show Cheers and Studio 54. Check the dress code no Baseball hats white shirts or jerseys but that’s not a bad thing it’s a fairly classy place loved it!!
7+ years of coming to Studio 80 and it remains the most Miami-inspired nightlife in DFW! Best club for dancing & people watching! After celebrating my birthday here, I realized I had lost the stone from my ring. Management responded immediately the next morning, welcomed me back, and personally helped search — and found it. Exceptional integrity and service. Definitely recommend for a great night in Fort Worth!
I would give this place 50 stars if I could!!!! Always have the very best time even as someone in their mid 20s lol. Did bottle service for the first time this weekend for my birthday and it was worth every single penny. LOVE IT HERE
