We hired StudioMet to design our new modern home, and the experience was fantastic. We wanted a mid-century modern look with more character than the typical flat-front design, and they delivered exactly that. We had our new house built by StudioMET. They basically provide 3 services: realtor services (to find and purchase a lot), architectural services, and construction services. After a short evaluation we decided to have them provide all three services. Working with the people at StudioMET turned out to be easy. The architectural design phase as well as the actual construction went off without any major issues. Their supervisor was on top of all things that mattered and was a delight to work with. We noticed that the subcontractors which StudioMET uses are not necessarily cheap, but in most cases the quality is very good. We live now in our new house for almost 2 years . It is not cheap to have StudioMET design and build your house, but in our opinion, the quality delivered justifies how StudioMET positions itself. We highly recommend StudioMET and would have no issues engaging with them in the future.
My wife and I wanted build a home with clean lines and a built form that would complement the existing large Live Oak trees. We were searching for architects who designed modern homes, preferably with flat roof. We met with 3 architects to understand their design and construction approach and decided going with StudioMET architect after touring Shawn’s home and seeing his attention to details, the flow of spaces, and the use of natural light & landscaping to create beautiful experience. We have enjoyed the collaborative and iterative design process. Shawn has thoughtfully shepherded us in right-sizing the home and spaces for our needs, lifestyle, and budget. He creatively placed the home between two existing Live Oak trees on the property and limiting impact; ensuring cross ventilation and natural light in all living spaces. Our home is currently under construction and it’s been exciting to see it all come together. The construction quality and attention to details is consistent with what one would expect of a StudloMET projects. Shawn and the construction manager, Gavin, have been very responsive to our questions and concerns. Looking forward to the project being completed later this year.
