After a frustrating experience with another architect, working with StudioMets Architects was a complete breath of fresh air. From day one, they listened carefully to our vision and concerns and quickly earned our trust with their professionalism and clear communication. We worked with Scott and Yoon, who brought creativity, attention to detail, and practical solutions that elevated the design beyond what we imagined. The whole process was transparent, collaborative, and efficient — a night-and-day difference from our previous experience. We’re thrilled with the final design and highly recommend StudioMets Architects to anyone looking for a talented team that truly cares about their clients.

We hired StudioMet to design our new modern home, and the experience was fantastic. We wanted a mid-century modern look with more character than the typical flat-front design, and they delivered exactly that. The team was professional, responsive, and great to work with throughout the process. Communication was clear, and they brought creative solutions to the table. We’re thrilled with the results and highly recommend StudioMet.

We had our new house built by StudioMET. They basically provide 3 services: realtor services (to find and purchase a lot), architectural services, and construction services. After a short evaluation we decided to have them provide all three services. Working with the people at StudioMET turned out to be easy. The architectural design phase as well as the actual construction went off without any major issues. Their supervisor was on top of all things that mattered and was a delight to work with. We noticed that the subcontractors which StudioMET uses are not necessarily cheap, but in most cases the quality is very good. We live now in our new house for almost 2 years . It is not cheap to have StudioMET design and build your house, but in our opinion, the quality delivered justifies how StudioMET positions itself. We highly recommend StudioMET and would have no issues engaging with them in the future.

My wife and I wanted build a home with clean lines and a built form that would complement the existing large Live Oak trees. We were searching for architects who designed modern homes, preferably with flat roof. We met with 3 architects to understand their design and construction approach and decided going with StudioMET architect after touring Shawn’s home and seeing his attention to details, the flow of spaces, and the use of natural light & landscaping to create beautiful experience. We have enjoyed the collaborative and iterative design process. Shawn has thoughtfully shepherded us in right-sizing the home and spaces for our needs, lifestyle, and budget. He creatively placed the home between two existing Live Oak trees on the property and limiting impact; ensuring cross ventilation and natural light in all living spaces. Our home is currently under construction and it’s been exciting to see it all come together. The construction quality and attention to details is consistent with what one would expect of a StudloMET projects. Shawn and the construction manager, Gavin, have been very responsive to our questions and concerns. Looking forward to the project being completed later this year.

I followed StudioMet’s work for a few years before becoming a client, always impressed by how they design modern homes with classic proportions. We met Shawn and Scott at an AIA open house in Houston while house hunting. The moment my wife stepped inside their featured home, she said, “I want a house like this!” From that point on, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Having dealt with two not-so-great contractors on a prior renovation, I immediately noticed the difference. Scott brings a calm, reassuring presence that makes the entire process stress-free. Their communication is outstanding—using intuitive project management software to share daily updates, bids, and progress photos. As a product designer, I loved being part of the details and StudioMet welcomed that collaboration. If you’re considering a custom home, I highly recommend StudioMet. Their craftsmanship, transparency, and professionalism set a new standard.
