I love StyleMe Dance! Great atmosphere and a very welcoming community. It’s always the best part of my day when I go to the studio. I’ve become a much better dancer in a short period of time thanks to the amazing teachers. It’s great for beginners who are new to dance and want to improve—there’s truly something for everyone. So many opportunities to grow. Definitely come take a dance class; you won’t regret it! 😆
READ BEFORE DECIDING TO GO Style Me teaches: K-pop, hip-pop, jazz-funk, tap (I think), and teaches pretty strictly, but it pushes you to grow. The first time I went to Style Me, it was like a summer camp, and it was so fun, and I made so many friends. And most people there are Asian, so they all speak Chinese, but they will also teach in English if you want. It supplies lunch (the one I went to), which might be why you think it is pricey. The next year, I went to the camp everyone was so rude to me (not the teachers, the students), and the teachers did not care when the classmates were mean. It is a very competitive space. When we learned dances in the camp, they had merged age groups, unlike the year before, which had little kids and big kids. However, then there would be, like, fifteen-year-olds forced to dance with five-year-olds, and then all the dances had to be dumbed down. It was really squished, and if you didn't dance well, you would be in the back. During performances, which the parents recorded, if you weren't in the front line, you couldn't be seen. The lunch break might be long but after they cut the break so much shorter and during your "long break" you are expected to practice.
LOOOOOOVVVE this place and community!!! I’ve taken 2 classes (never danced before ever) and quickly fell in love with it all. Everyone is so friendly, and the dance teacher is so nice! I am so happy to have found StyleMe.
I’m new in Boston and I literally did 1h and 30 minutes of transport to go to this dance academy and it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. I absolutely loved the class, it was amazing. The academy is really nice with really cool lightning and the teacher I had was an amazing dancer and teacher. She really focused on all her students’ progress and she was really nice and helpuful. I am so happy with the academy that I’m getting a pack of classes😊 thank you Styleme for this amazing discovery!!!!
It was great and informational beginner class for my boyfriend and I to do jazz funk. The teacher is very nice and helped us a lot with the foundation and the texture of our moves. We just lived too far away but we are looking forward to taking classes at style me next time.
