We loved working with Sweetwater Portraits for our Philly elopement. The whole team was extremely communicative and highly creative, making them a true dream to work with. Someone once said to us, "you will in all likelihood only love ~5 photos from your wedding," but working with SWP really proved that statement to be incorrect. The photos we received transport us back to that day, and have allowed us to share our most precious moments lovingly with our families. I would recommend this team to anyone who is looking to work with artists who excel in capturing a variety of candid and posed photos, and who can logistically help you set a realistic timeline for your event. Our experience with Sweewater was absolutely incredible from start to finish. From the beginning, Julie was so accommodating with us, listening to all of our ideas for our photos, and made us so comfortable in front of the lens. They shot our engagement photos, our welcome party, and our wedding, and each set of photos was more breathtaking than the last. They absolutely exceeded our expectations, and we have already recommended them to multiple couples we know that have upcoming weddings. On our wedding day, they ensured we had time with each other, were able to get photos with all the people we had wanted, and stayed organized and on-time throughout the chaos that is a wedding day. We were so pleased with how all of the photos came out, and have many framed and hanging on our walls, and at our parent's houses. We cannot recommend them enough!

We loved working with the Sweetwater team! They were recommended to us by family & friends and we’re so happy that we went with Julie & Dutch! Our engagement and wedding day photos looked and felt exactly like how we hoped! I love the authentic and journalistic approach they have with the pictures — made everything feel so natural. My husband and I are not very “posey” and they really made us feel at ease and comfortable. They were so easy and efficient to work with and they worked so well with our family, friends & guests. The day went by so fast and in a blur — seeing their pov in the photos they captured is such a sweet way to preserve those precious memories and moments. We’re so happy with our decision to work with Sweetwater and highly recommend!

Julie and Dutch are INCREDIBLE, they were one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process! We had so much fun going through our photos, it felt like we were reliving the day not only through our eyes but also through those of our loved ones. We laughed, we cried, we couldn’t believe how much they were able to capture the true essence of our day. The photos are not only stunning, they embody the way we felt that day and feel so authentic to us and our loved ones, which is exactly what we were looking for. We will cherish our photos for the rest of our lives! This is what makes Sweetwater so unique and talented. On top of that, Julie and Alyssa were EVERYWHERE; our guests were so impressed by them. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the engagement shoot as it allows you to get comfortable with Julie, or whoever your photog is, so that by the time the wedding day comes along you guys feel comfortable in front of the lens. This made a big difference for us and we were excited to see Julie again for our wedding - it was like having another friend there! She was also extremely helpful in navigating complex family dynamics which took a lot of stress off our shoulders. Can’t say enough good things, so happy we found them!

Choosing to work with Julie and Dutch of Sweetwater Portraits was arguably the best decision we made when wedding planning. I knew from the earliest stages of planning that choosing an excellent photography team was going to be a priority for me. I cared very much about ensuring that we had stunning photos, and I wanted to find artists to work with who had a very natural and light style. Julie and Dutch were perfect for what we wanted, and we genuinely enjoyed having them with us on our wedding day. They were an incredible team. They kept everyone calm, organized, and together while also letting us have time to ourselves when we needed it. They remembered all of our most special people by name. They were professional and efficient. I truly cannot say enough about them. And that's not even considering how gorgeous our gallery of pictures is. The photos are nothing short of perfect.
