I had a really bad experience in the past when this truck was at Sierra Rd near Piedmonts Hill HS. I was a regular at that location but after awhile, I noticed the price of some specific items (in my case it was tripa super burrito) kept increasing in price bit by bit then I asked the staff and they had no idea how much the price was supposed to be which I understand since they were just staff working in the back to make food. There was one particular guy who worked there since the day I asked them about the price increase had started to become rude when I came to order to pick up orders. I let it slide many times since this food truck was near my home. My last straw was when I ordered literally the same item, there were a few rocks inside my burrito and I could have had some medical issues had I ate those in my stomach. Turned out it was the same guy that had been rude to me. The rocks looked like those small ones that you would find in the street. I don't believe this was an accident given the history. I didnt think that guy would go that far just because I asked about the price increase. Very dangerous person to be handling food and super dangerous if he doesn't like any particular customers. I wonder if the guy is still working there as I saw the truck at a new location in Berryessa area. I just have to leave the review here for others to be cautious about that guy
I had the Mexican pizza. Dude is not playing. He makes other Mexican stuff arranged like other American classics. This concept seems to hit home even better than fusion, for me. Jjanga, in Vegas, does sushi shaped like burgers and pizza, and stuff. 👌 😋
These guys were having Cinco De Mayo special -- Buy 2 Tacos Get 1 Free. I ordered 6 and got 3 Free. They used different meats for the Free ones. The meats looks different and smelt really bad and it looks like they were using expired meat. They didn't bother putting onions and cilantro on the free ones either. The paid tacos that I ordered were super dry and had some odor, too. I had food poisoning right after eating their food. I had diarrhea and threw up twice with bad stomach ache. Also these guys rip you off on the churros. One order is consist of 3 churros and they go for $10.50. They changed me for 2 orders and only put 1 order. I only found out when I got home. They will try to confuse you on the pricing and act like they have language barrier. You cannot order just one individual churro. Their price is really inflated and expensive. I swear you could be dining in at a nice restaurant with the prices they're charging. On top of that, they charging service fees. What the hell? This is a food truck and fast food quality foods at most. Their menu doesn't show pricing so you will only find out right after you paid when you get the receipt. Shady practice of business. Also, check your statement because they overcharged me. I will not be coming back because of the shady way they practice their business, low quality foods and super expensive pricing -- on top of that, I got sick from eating their food. The city of San Jose needs to send a food inspector to check their kitchen and foods. They are only here to rip-off high school kids. The food truck right across the street and the taqueria are better alternative than these guys. Update: These guys were serving meats that were infected with E-Coli. I'm looking at possibly talking with my attorney for a case.
For a taco truck next to a gas station 👌. I’ve been here a few times and gotten Al pastor, cabeza, carne asada, and Campechano tacos. Not saying the others aren’t good but get Al pastor for sure. Al pastors on a spit, so you get the slow roasted and quick crispy texture from the plancha. Cabeza, was nice and soft. Carne asada, tasted ok due to the meat being a little overdone/tough. Campenchana was a beautiful mix and they hit both meats on the plancha so it had a good texture to it. Look at my photos. They actually do a good job at being dedicated to the plate. Cut with car a designed radish and gives you two good size salsa. Good value spot to grab some quality tacos. A lot better than every other brick and mortar I’ve been to in the South Bay.
Since having Birria Pizza in Albuquerque, New Mexico I have been looking for it here in San Jose. I finally found it and it was DELICIOUS!!! AWESOME service and great price! I am definitely going back!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
