Had a haircut a while ago, and forgot to review until I just received an email reminder to book with them. And then it all came back. Probably the worst haircut I have ever had in my adult life. I actually had to go to another barber to try to salvage the disaster.

Dre is amazing! She really knows what she is doing and it was one of the best cuts I’ve ever received! She was so detailed and personable. She was worth the price. Highly recommend her! Downside is that I don’t think I will be returning. The receptionist with the shortish hair ruined the whole place for me. I made an appointment about a month ago online and confirmed my appointment via text and got reminders for it. However, when I showed up today the receptionist told me she tried to call me and text me today to reschedule because Dre doesn’t work Wednesdays, which I wasn’t aware of. And she had to make a point to repeat that multiple times, “well I called you this morning two times.” It was frustrating because she made it seem like it was my fault that I didn’t answer the phone call that my appointment got messed up. I was busy running errands in the morning in preparation for my sister’s wedding that I’m flying out for tomorrow. Telling someone the day of to reschedule after they scheduled a month ago isn’t helpful. I would have really appreciated if someone had reached out to me way earlier than just the day of just to let me know she doesn’t work Wednesdays so I’m not scrambling to get a haircut days before the wedding. Rather than blaming the customer, it would have been better if she held herself accountable for the mistake in the lack of communication. I normally don’t like to write reviews, but the way she approached the conversation with her tone really rubbed me the wrong way and it makes me not want to go back there unfortunately. Her attitude is not the type of energy I like walking into. It’s a cool place and has a great vibe, so it’s a shame one person really killed that for me. On top of that, my card was still charged. Definitely not going back.

I was in a dark period of my life over a year and a half ago… I had no consistent barber! After a few months of searching and some bad haircuts, I finally came to Tailored Hair and got my haircut by Alexa. She really gets my vision for each cut and I never have a problem explaining what I’m looking for. Even after moving to LA I plan to make the drive back down every once in a while for my haircut. I’ve recommended friends here who have gotten their hair cut by other stylists at Tailored and all of them loved their haircuts too. If you’re a guy in SD with hair long or short looking for a new consistent spot, I’d suggest looking no further!

One of the situations where you “coincidentally” stumble on a tik tok account and ends up being a jewel. Me the influencer wife saw Charlotte’s tik tok account and was mesmerized by her talent. Well I called Tailored Hair and had a great welcome call and was able to schedule for my husband. Yesterday we came and what a special surprise. This is The Barber. Modern, Stylish and cool concept. Charlotte was patient and super meticulous and took her time to analyze his hair texture and also how he felt about. We loved the result.

Guaranteed you’ll have one of the best haircuts in your life here! The attention to details of Lizzy is incredible! The salon vibe is also amazing. Walking in it feels like walking into a craft cocktail bar or a Michelin star restaurant. It’s laidback and classy in the same time. They offer you drinks at your arrival (and won’t judge you for morning beer), a neck massage, a neck cleaning and they use top hair products. Lizzy pays attention to her customers’ feedback and makes sure that they’re satisfied with their haircut when they step out of her salon. I’ll definitely come back!
