A pretty swanky museum. The front desk staff are very helpful. Unfortunately one exhibit wasn't completed when we arrived. The sky bridge offered a great view of riverwalk. The parking garage attached is reasonably priced, though I'm not so sure I'd trust the elevator down to the museum since it was broken down upon exit to the museum.
I visited the Tampa Museum of Art and found it to be a really easy place to enjoy an afternoon. The building stands out right away, especially along the riverwalk, and the inside feels open and calm. The exhibits were well laid out, making it simple to move through without feeling rushed. I appreciated the mix of classic and contemporary pieces on display. It was a relaxed, enjoyable visit and a nice break while exploring downtown Tampa.
I recently visited the Tampa Museum of Art and had a very good experience. One of the best things about this museum is that admission is free for college students, which makes it so accessible. The variety of art on display is impressive -- there’s truly something for everyone. I especially loved the collection of impressionist pieces, which were beautifully curated and gave me a deeper appreciation for the style. The galleries are well-organized and easy to navigate, creating a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Overall, it’s a great place to spend an afternoon and immerse yourself in creativity and culture. Highly recommend!
I really enjoy coming to the Tampa Bay Art museum. They are working with Bank of America cardholders to let them in for free the first of the month. I saw some nice artwork. Just took one star off because there was a gallery section that was closed. I’ve seen there was more objects on view before. They are probably setting up for an exhibition.
Pay by donation, so only pay what you can afford or what you'd like to donate to support the Museum. This one has a fantastic collection of artifacts from antiquity including Egyptian, Roman and Greek carvings, jewelry and more. Even an early Christian relic or two. Additionally they have an incredible collection of paintings from far and wide including a massive impressionism area. If you're a casually curious person you could view everything in an hour. If you're an enthusiast or a lover of art and history you'll be pleased to spend 2-3+ hours taking it all in. No food or drinks allowed or sold on-site, but there's a lovely gift shop. Enjoy!
