Nice atmosphere, good drinks and good service. The queso was about average for any Mexican style restaurant, though the salsa tasted like marinara sauce which could've been just our opinion. We ordered the Taco Salad and the Birria Chile Rellenos. We were enjoying our meals when we noticed that the beef in the Taco Salad was undercooked/raw. The manager tried to convince us that their steam table (I believe thats what he was saying) was the reason the meat was the color and consistency of raw beef and at that point I decided to still pay for our food and end our visit. The taco salad was taken off, however we won't be visiting again. In my opinion the food lacked basic seasonings you would find in Mexican cuisine, for example, the Birria Chile Rellenos were cooked okay but the meat itself only had beef flavor but no flavors you would expect from a Mexican dish. The rice that came on the side was very similar to boxed stove top mexican rice. Overall this was a very poor experience for somewhere that is seemingly "elevated" based off the decor. The bill still came to be around 50 dollars for two people even after the taco salad was taken off.

Update: went again… Great place. Fun atmosphere. Husband and I shared Charola de Tacos. We chose carne Asada and chicken tacos. It was perfect for the price. I would recommend all carne Asada tacos as the chicken lacked flavor and salt. Otherwise hands down would get it again. Staff is always friendly and happy to accommodate. They start you with chips and salsa and some kind of white Mexican ranch dip. I have no idea why they do that here in VA. But it’s a thing. Ask for double salsa😉 1st visit: Fantastic customer service, great atmosphere, food was good for VA (came from San Diego) I wouldn’t recommend the rolled tacos, guacamole is worth ordering and Papusas were filling. One was enough for me. Most importantly it was CLEAN. We’ll be back for happy hour.

Just went and checked this place out finally! We will be back for sure! The food/drinks are pricey but it was delicious. It’s got an upscale feeling with the cool decor inside. We had a California burrito and nachos. Both were delivered to the table rather quickly. Service was great and the tall manager was actively engaging with guests and making sure everything was running smoothly which I appreciated. This is a great addition to the Grassfield area!!

Great looking place. Food is good but pricey. I loved the Burrito Loco I had twice. Second time was a little salty. Service needs to be worked on especially at the bar. The bartenders disappear and I notice employees eat at the bar which is a no no to me. There is an event room in the back and if not being used is where employees should eat. Otherwise they tend to congregate at a table which doesnt look good either. The food does take longer than expected. Everyone is nice though and still trying to find their way which is normal for a new place but I can see this place getting crowded and them being overwhelmed. I live around the corner in an adult community with 500 homes. We could give this place huge business if the service gets on track.
