We (3) enjoyed afternoon tea on December 27 and it was exceptional. Our servers were wonderful, the savoury and sweet were all divine! Sloane Tea is a personal favourite. The little touches; spoons, decorative toothpicks in sandwiches, beautiful big tea cups added to the exceptional. Must go back for lunch 😋

Tartelette Bakery & Café on Main Street centrally east located is absolutely a hidden gem! The pistachio rose croissant is buttery, and beautifully fragrant with the great taste and combination of pistachio and rose in the baking the croissant that I love the most. Such a great combination. Pair it with their fabulous cardamom latte, The café also offers a great outdoor view, perfect for a cozy fall afternoon. Plus, it’s just a few steps away from the university, making it an ideal spot to relax between classes or work. Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious pastry and latte.

Came here with locals who highly recommended it and can see why. The pastries are not only amazing to look at but taste amazing too. They serve espresso drinks as well and use equator coffee. Staff is friendly and while things don’t move quickly they do good work. The indoor space is tiny and was completely full when we were there on a Sunday morning. I’m guessing it’s often that way so I downgraded the atmosphere a star. In warmer months there is outdoor seating so capacity is better. I had a double chocolate pain au chocolat and really enjoyed it along with a flat white. Definitely recommend!

Nice and clean spot! Prices are reasonable, but what really stood out was the excellent service and amazing food. I was pleasantly surprised to see several pistachio options on the menu including a cheesecake infused with Mediterranean spices (rose, saffron, and cardamom), as well as a pistachio tart and croissant. I tried the cheesecake and the pistachio croissant with rose and both were delicious. Even though the croissant had sugar on top, it wasn’t overly sweet, which I really appreciated. I also ordered a matcha latte with almond milk. The matcha was strong and pleasantly bitter, just the way it should be. Individual desserts (cakes and tarts) were priced between $8.50 and $10 CAD. The ambiance was lovely, perfect for a coffee outing with friends or a casual date.

This Saturday I finally decided to head to Main St to try Tartelette after it kept popping up on my feed. It is a busy and vibrant bakery and coffee shop. Service is good. Although small, the place is clean and welcoming. Pastries look so good they seem fake: I've rarely seen croissants look this perfect. They are tasty too. I tried the plain croissant and the Smoked Salmon and cream cheese croissant and they were both excellent. The cinnamon and honey latte with almond milk was a delight. I will be going back soon for afternoon tea with my girls.
