Absolutely the best bakery in Edinburgh, Louise is a master in the art of creating fabulous buns, cakes and pastries! As a regular consumer of their sweet treats I can fully endorse the thoroughly satisfying experience of eating anything that comes out of the shop, clutched in my hands and ready to be eaten vigorously. If you have any doubts that you need a tasty bun in your life, leave them at the door and engulf yourself in the wonder that is, TASTY BUNS! ps. secret tip, ask for the long version of everything to get a bigger piece of your choice of treat

If you love or even like chocolate the chocolate and salted caramel tart would be worth visiting for alone! Positives; *Lots of choice of cakes, which clearly a lot of thought and creativity has gone into creating. *Would visit again just so I can check out some more cakes * Interested and helpful service *Near to the grass market but far enough off that it’s more peaceful and calm to enjoy your coffee and cake. * offers savoury food options as well as sweet offerings Negatives * not a lot of savoury food options (although I understand his is why they don’t have a lot of food prep space, just making the reader aware of the limited options) * the food menus were on handwritten boards which I had some difficulty in reading * the space available is a bit of corridor, I realise that they can’t do a lot about this but meant it was a touch gloomy and lacking in comfort or atmosphere at the rear of the cafe. I’m being picky though

Tasty buns DOES serve some tasty buns! I tried a hot chocolate and a caramel shortbread this morning, and it’s certainly one of the best I have tried in the UK. The shortbread was delightful and not too sweet for my taste. The baristas were pleasant as well, greeting us with warm smiles as we walked in.

The best bakery in Edinburgh hands down!! I only have the best things to say about this local business. First off the staff are so lovely and welcoming as soon as you step through the door, and they deserve every success. Complete legends all of them. Every single time I have gone in either to sit in or takeaway the bakes have been so delicious (in particular her Mars Bar brownies- to be honest any of her brownies, and her cinnamon buns are to die for). Nothing but the best flavours and nothing artificial tasting which I love. They love to mix it up and try new things which means you get to try so many different options which keeps it interesting. I have gotten a few custom bakes in the form of a Chocolate Guinness cake which was rich and chocolatey, and had that lovely Guinness taste to it, and also some lemon meringue tarts which were so tart, with just the right amount of sweet & lovely meringue on the top. They do different “fests” which are so fun. The one coming up is a brownie fest and am looking forward to seeing what new flavours they come up with. I would highly recommend you check them out- you will not be disappointed. :)

Excellent bakery with awesome tasty buns! Had the sweet bar with chocolate and almond. My husband had a delicious bar with Brazil nuts. Service was excellent and the ladies behind the counters were so kind.
