Delivers exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood café: delicious pastries, warm service, and plenty of space to settle in. The pastry selection is especially impressive—beautifully made, fresh, and full of flavor, the kind of treats that make it hard to choose just one. The staff adds to the experience with their friendly, upbeat energy. They’re efficient without ever feeling rushed, creating a welcoming atmosphere even during busy hours. Another standout is the abundance of seating. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, meeting a friend, or settling in with your laptop, there’s room to get comfortable. A reliable, delightful spot in the heart of the city—Tatte City Center makes every visit feel easy and enjoyable.

Was happy that I found Tatte during my visit to DC. While the coffee isn’t exactly to my palette, the ambiance and the array of pastries definitely were. I am used to a darker roast, from the coffee scene in Cape Town, South Africa. The coffee at Tatte seems to be consistent with most US coffee shops. I had a Flat White. Would most certainly recommend for the sake of pictures, and the food looked amazing too. Best coffee, for my Palette, was at La Colombe (in DC) - they make a mean Flat White!

I visited Tatte Bakery and café recently in my trip to DC, it was a really nice experience overall. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and had a lively and fresh vibe which makes it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The location is also very convenient. The coffee was good, however, the taste could be better ( perhaps it was not a fresh batch?). Well, aside from that, everything came together well, and I enjoyed my time there. If I could give 4.5 stars bacause of coffee’s taste,, I definitely would. That said, I’d happily come back on my next visit!

Recently visited one of the Tatte Bakery and Café location in Washington, DC (New York Ave and I Street). For those of you who are not familiar with these modern chain of high-end, fast casual cafes, Tatte's menu blends American, European, and Mediterranean influences, offering a wide array of scratch-made items from their signature beautiful pastries, tarts, and cookies to all-day breakfast dishes like shakshuka, along with coffee, specialty lattes, tartines, salads, and sandwiches. Tatte is known for its quality ingredients, picturesque interiors, and its commitment to great service during the entire experience, from fast ordering, courteous employees, and relaxed atmosphere. My own experience at this location was great, in spite of the store being suddenly overwhelmed by a group of tourists. I ordered a latte and a pastry, and both were perfect. Tatte's high prices are the 9nly reason why they got one less star from me

Picked up breakfast for everyone during our family trip. All the pastries were pretty good, but the standout was definitely their iconic fluffy croissant—so light and delicious. The chocolate bun was also solid. There was already a line early in the morning on a weekday, which says a lot. I’d definitely come back. Great that it’s a chain, so the quality feels reliable wherever you go.
