Maura, is an exceptional math teacher and learning coach, she played a vital role in my child's educational journey. When my child, Remy, transitioned to a new school in May 2019, he lost his passion for math. He struggled to connect with the subject and his motivation dwindled. Recognizing the importance of finding the right teacher we reached out to Maura, who had previously taught Remy in an actual school for grades 7 and 8. We inquired if she would be interested in becoming his math teacher again and acting as his learning coach while he pursued online schooling. Maura's lesson plans and organizational skills were impressive. They not only provided a well-structured learning environment but also instilled confidence in us as parents. Maura's meticulous organization allowed us easy access to shared Google Drive documents, keeping us well-informed about the lessons, enabling us to review Remy's progress, and conveniently track payment balances. In grade 12, Remy had the opportunity to study AP Calculus with one of the teachers from Maura's team. This seamless transition is a testament to the high standards set by Maura and her team. Beyond her teaching skills, Maura demonstrated genuine care and interest in Remy's overall well-being. She took the time to know him beyond academics, showing enthusiasm for his extracurricular activities and celebrating his achievements outside of school. Although Remy has completed high school, she will continue the role of guiding him through advanced placement (AP) courses, and help him prepare for standardized tests like the SAT, and Maura's commitment to Remy's success extends to assisting him with researching university options.
