I highly recommend this school to anybody who’s looking to get into the bar industry or looking for some good laughs. Jim’s personality is definitely one of a kind - he always had our class laughing at a good story or joke. He goes out of his way to make sure each student isn’t behind and is knowledgeable of the drinks. He could easily ghost you after you pass the class haha but he makes sure the people looking for job placement find what they’re looking for. Highly recommend this class and Jim, can’t thank you enough for all you do!!

I had an incredible experience at the Texas School of Bartenders in Austin! Jim, the instructor is knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about what he does. They make learning the art of bartending and mixology both fun and professional. I gained hands-on experience with real techniques, recipes, and customer service skills that gave me the confidence to step behind the bar.

First off the instructor Jim is such a great, knowledgeable, and experienced teacher and knows what he is talking about. I learned so much at the Austin location and Jim answered any and every question I had. It was fun of course yet professional as well and I could not have invested in a better program. I think all of my classmates felt the same about Jim and his experience in the industry and very helpful in any way he could be. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone and would do it again if I had to. I would say DO NOT always go by bad reviews online as I have done before as I am glad I took the shot at this school with Jim in charge!!! Thank you so much Jim at Texas school of bartenders-Austin, it was an awesome experience and very informative.

I had a fantastic experience at Texas School of Bartenders Austin! From start to finish, James is knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. The hands-on training really helped me build confidence behind the bar, and the lessons were fun, interactive, and packed with useful tips. The school provided a great balance of practical skills, cocktail recipes, and industry insights, which prepares you for real-world bartending. The environment was welcoming, and I met some awesome classmates along the way. I definitely recommend this bartending school to anyone looking to break into the industry or just improve their bartending skills. It was truly a valuable and enjoyable experience!

I've been in the tech industry for over 20 years and hitting a rough spot. I'm looking to supplement my income and maybe even make a complete pivot. I'm a big fan of the night life - dive bars, lounges, speakeasies, and dance clubs. There are mixed viewpoints from industry vets on the value of courses, and you aren't guaranteed a job. But I wanted a solid foundation to start with. Location near central Austin and night classes were convenient for me. And I thought the price was fair for what you get The school is stealthily located in a business park. But as soon as you walk in, it's like entering a fully stocked bar, complete with music, lighting, and hundreds of bottles of alcohol - filled with approximately colored water :) Classes are fast paced and intense. But also fun. Jim is a great instructor that's been in the bar business for decades and is a wealth of knowledge and motivation. If you're looking for a great foundation to begin your bartending journey, I recommend this course
