I've been taking the boxing classes here for the last two years. The Academy has a good balance of serious training, but also a down-to-earth atmosphere. Both Coach Khama and Coach Deep offer a well-rounded personal approach, and push you without making you feel overwhelmed. I came to get into shape, but like they say, they give you an education!

We've had the pleasure of working with the Academy of MMA Pittsburgh since we first started in 2009, and we couldn't be happier with our partnership. The team at the Academy is incredibly professional, dedicated, and passionate about the sport. Their commitment to training top-notch fighters is evident in every event we collaborate on. If you're looking for a gym that truly knows how to develop talent and foster a supportive community, look no further than the Academy of MMA Pittsburgh. Highly recommended!

This is an absolutely fantastic gym. If you want to learn how to defend yourself or train to be a champion in various forms of martial arts, this is the gym you need to be at. It will take your training to the next level. Everyone is incredibly accepting and kind. It is a family friendly atmosphere so anyone can comfortably train here. I love being apart of the Academy and I’m thankful I’ve found such an amazing place to train.

A former coworker invited me to try a class at Mark Cherico's Marital Arts & Fitness Academy last January. I have been hooked ever since. I started knowing nothing about martial arts and was not in the best of shape. The instructors are talented and passionate at what they teach. The classes are well organized. The more advanced students are always willing to work with us newbies to help us understand and improve our technique. No one is judgmental at this gym. I have learned a great deal since I started. I enjoyed the instructors and the gym so much that I signed my son up shortly after I joined. He has also be taking classes at the academy for almost a year now. At the age of five he is learning important life skills such as discipline, self defense and fitness. My three year old daughter even takes the occasional class. It is a family type atmosphere. Your fellow students will be like a second family in no time at all. Thanks for a great gym and programs.
