Our company held our holiday party at the Adelmann. It was easy working with the event staff to plan the event. We were very grateful they work with The Lost Grove for the catering. Food, drinks and service were amazing. We had out of town executives attend. They commented the venue was beautiful, the food was excellent and the service amazing. Which is very high praise. Thank you for making a memorable event for our team members. Definitely recommend booking for an intimate wedding, retirement party, or any type of celebration!!!

Old Sport, We’d Kill to Do It Again If the Great Gatsby threw a murder mystery in the Adelmann Building, this would be it. Sequins? Yes. Suspicion? Everywhere. Alibis shakier than the stock market in 1929? Absolutely. From the moment we stepped into the Adelmann Building, it felt like we’d wandered straight into a Prohibition-era fever dream — all art deco glam, whispered accusations, and just enough chaos to make you question everyone you love. Everyone showed up committed. I’m talking full Gatsby energy: feathers, fedoras, dramatic gasps, and at least one person who definitely practiced their suspicious glance in the mirror. The mystery itself was perfectly paced — clever twists, hilarious moments, and just enough red herrings to keep even the “I watch too much true crime” crowd guessing. Every room had something going on, every character had secrets, and no one was safe (emotionally… or narratively). The Adelmann Building was the real star, though. That place oozes atmosphere. If walls could talk, they’d be saying, “You look fabulous, but you’re definitely the killer.” Bottom line: it was immersive, ridiculous in the best way, laugh-out-loud fun, and worth dressing up like a bootlegging socialite for the night. We laughed, we schemed, we accused innocent friends with wild confidence. Five stars. Would attend again. Would trust no one. Old sport.

I recently DJ’d a wedding here and this is such a great spot. From a vendor perspective, there’s an elevator for loading — and Katie, the helpful venue coordinator, is a pleasure to work with. The aesthetic is classic Victorian. They have a bar and kitchen on-site and 2 event rooms. I would definitely recommend this for small to medium weddings & events. It looks amazing in pictures and it’s a fun time!

The Capital City Event Center is such a beautiful downtown Boise venue with rich character and timeless charm. I photographed a Día de los Muertos wedding here, and the vibrant colors and cultural details came to life so beautifully in the space. Even with a mix of rain and hail, the venue provided a seamless flow for the celebration, and photographed effortlessly throughout the day. As a photographer, I appreciated how versatile the setting was—spacious interiors, historic architecture, and an inviting atmosphere that adapts beautifully to each couple’s vision. It’s a venue that can hold the energy of a lively celebration while still feeling warm and intimate.

We had the best experience hosting our company holiday party at the Capital City Event Center. Gene was really easy and nice to work with, which made the event planning portion very pleasant! We had about 25 people in our party and the front room by the bar area was perfect for us. We went with their recommended caterer, too, which created a wonderful menu for us that everyone enjoyed. The venue allowed us to bring our desired DJ, offered the option of a full bar service (along with two great bartenders) and was extremely accommodating to our event decorator's needs (we hired Major Events, they did a terrific job!). An overall great experience. Would highly recommend it to anyone!
