While visiting Miami, I stopped by Next Level Optical in North Miami Beach to look at brands like Saint Laurent, Matsuda, and Jacques Marie Mage, and ended up discovering Maison Marcel. I was immediately impressed by the colorways, craftsmanship, and overall quality, and purchased three pairs. Maison Marcel is an art-driven eyewear brand based between Miami and Modena, Italy, and it truly shows in the details. The frames feel collectible, refined, and thoughtfully designed. The scooper detail on the glasses is a subtle but unique touch that really sets them apart. I also met Marcel, the founder, who was great to speak with and clearly passionate about his work. I’m originally from Slovakia and can’t wait to wear these during my travels abroad. They’ll sit proudly alongside the rest of my Jacques Marie Mage collection. Working with Marcel Katz aka the Art Plug was incredible. He is very professional and ALWAYS meets his deadlines. It was FUN. I had THE BEST TIME in my life. He has a unique outlook that not many people can access or even recreate. Check out his sunglasses and clothing collection because it is out of this world. Marcel definitely helped me to tap in into my own creativity - he fueled it, so I am grateful for that. FUN, CREATIVE, but extremely professional. GREAT FLOW where creativity meets business.

Marcel is a visionary when it comes to art and web art development. He sees the glass half full and half empty while opening the portal to thinking inside and outside the box at the same time. His GIFs are on another level and are transcendent. If you ever need anything that pertains to art you need to give him a call and allow him to unlock the magic!

Shout out to Marcel and his team for orchestrating an epic event. We always look for unique events and new artists to collect during Miami Art Week and Art Plug came through as always. The boat experience was a different vibe this year and getting to learn about Stephen Gamsons art in such an exclusive setting was a nice break from the regular hustle. Looking forward to the next one!
