Very nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. They have very cool editions of classics, and we love the little Russian corner. I got some printed cards from Vera Smirnova's collection, and tbey were a holiday favorite. I will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone who loves bookstores.
Perfect old school neighborhood used book store. Wide range of interesting books. Loved the Maryland history section. Easy street parking. If you are coming from out of the neighborhood, there are lots of local shops, bars, and restaurants to try nearby.
Has a cute nook in the rear of the building if you want to sit and read alone. The store has sections fiction, religion, non fiction, geography, etc but the sections are cluttered. You need to be patient to soft through the books. They are not in any particular order but I did leave with a book haul. GREAT PRICES and a friendly staff!
Cute local bookstore with a lot of different genres. I went there on Friday around 5 pm. Only few people were there. A huge section of fictions and sci-fi. They also have small reading room close to children's book and folklore. I bought a detective book, a collection of gothic stories and a collection of edgar allen poe. Most of them are in good conditions. They also have 2 dollar section as well. They have friday happy hour where you can get one book for free if you buy 2 books. I recommend if you are looking for books and you know what you are looking for. Bit hard to get the recommendation from the cashier when I ask for certain genre.
Great bookstore in Baltimore - with a solid selection of all different genres of books: political, fiction, theatre - an especially large section dedicated to Russia studies, cookbooks, stories, and ornaments - and also children’s books, teen books, postcards, vinyl records, etc… They even have a small selection of current new release fiction. Prices are very good. I got five books for under $30. The proprietor is friendly and helpful. Worth the visit while you’re in town.
