The Cooperage was the perfect place to host our October wedding! They ticked every box we were looking for (industrial vibes, cream city brick, outdoor ceremony space, reasonable prices and in-house food and drink) - the thing that really sold us on top of all those items was the ability to take rooftop photos at sunset. From our outdoor ceremony to our indoor reception, the venue coordinator Maddie worked with our planner (Veronica Rose Planning) to perfectly execute our vision. The food and drinks were phenomenal and the caterer was able to seamlessly accommodate every allergy and dietary restriction we had. Numerous people have told us they wish they could eat our food again (especially the Moto Waterfall!) and we wish we could too! We truly had the perfect day and can't recommend this venue and their team enough!
We got married at The Cooperage in late May 2025 and worked closely with Maddie to plan the day. While communication was a tad rocky at the start, that quickly flipped and Maddie was AMAZING!! When you think girl boss, Maddie should be the first person that comes to mind. Leading up to the wedding day, Maddie made sure all our questions were answered, took the time to explain details to us and our options, and really just made the whole experience of planning a wedding from daunting to enjoyable. When it came to the day of the wedding, Maddie was on-site ready to go with her team as soon as the venue opened and it looked STUNNING inside. Her and my day of coordinator worked together and truly made me have the best day of my life. I couldn't be more grateful for everything Maddie and her team did. The bartenders at the Cooperage were amazing and there is no other word to describe it. I had multiple guests come up to me saying how awesome the bartenders were and their drinks were absolutely delicious. There was a point about an hour before walking down the aisle where we were taking pictures and one of the bartenders comes up to me with my signature cocktail for me - INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! And don't even get me started on the food. Holy crap. The food at our wedding was THE most complimented part of the wedding. The appetizers we choose were better than when we came in and tasted. So many compliments here and that people didn't have room for the actual meal because of how good the apps were. And the actual food, we ended up going with the BBQ and that was the best decision we could have possibly made. Again, so many compliments on the quality of the meat, how creamy the mac and cheese was, and everything in between. I want to have another event at the Coop just so I can eat all the food again! The last thing I will mention is that Maddie helped us get in contact with the Airbnb owner. The Airbnb is located right above the Cooperage, so we had a beautiful space for my bridesmaids and me to get ready the morning of that was incredibly convenient. Overall, if you are a laid back Bride and Groom who are looking for a great space and team to work with, look no further than the Cooperage!
If you’re looking for the spot to have your 100-150 person wedding, look no further. We had our wedding here in November and were absolutely blown away. Prices were reasonable and there were so many options. Maddie as the venue coordinator was fabulous, responsive and helpful. The beer and wine package is amazing - because they’re also a concert venue, there was every beer, seltzer and wine variety imaginable available that guests were able to drink, and if you wanted a specific beer on tap (for a modest price) they could make it happen. Their caterer was fantastic and we received so much positive feedback about the food, which is served on beautiful mismatched antique plates. We had our ceremony indoors and the room flip for the reception was fast and quite discreet, especially with the sectioned bar area guests could attend for cocktail hour. And their charcuterie board! Months later people still tell me how cool that was. I recommend this place to every bride to be that I know, and can’t say enough about how wonderful our day was. Thank you Cooperage and thank you Maddie!
The Cooperage had been on my radar for a while as a dream wedding venue. The first time I ever saw it I fell in love with the cream city brick, chandelier/natural light, and riverside property (Boone & Crockett is a vibe), and I knew it would be a good fit for my wedding. So when my now husband proposed in December 2021, I got right to it and booked The Cooperage with Maddie’s help in January 2022 for my September 2024 wedding! From start to finish, Maddie and team were extremely helpful and professional. They have such a great group there managing things! Maddie always answered texts / emails with detailed information and care and on the wedding day her staff were so caring — one person actually put together a bowl of all the apps for me so I didn’t miss out while mingling! We enjoyed the food (the moto waterfall… are you kidding me!), the drinks (we covered beer, wine, seltzer and soda and two signature drinks: espresso martinis and old fashioneds), the intimate garden for our ceremony and the gorgeous interior for our reception and dance party (their plates are so beautiful!). We also rented a 77 vw photobooth bus from Michigan and it was perfectly situated outside the sliding door by the stage for guests to get some fresh air and a reprieve from the dance floor. As far as other rentals to complete the space, I worked with Relics Rentals for all signage / decor, and linens were from BBJ. The arbor was made especially for our wedding day by a family friend. All in all, we adored The Cooperage and everything it had to offer. I’d highly recommend it for any wedding - we had ample space for our group of 100 and I can see it still being comfortable for 150. Thank you for being a part of the best day of our lives! - Monique & Sam
My then-fiancé and I were on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue. We had been to a handful of places, of all kinds, over south-eastern WI. A client of his sister's said she had gone to a wedding at the Cooperage recently and it was lovely. We dropped by randomly, after visiting another venue down the street, without an appointment, and just peeked in the windows. Maddie, just so happened to be inside and was gracious enough to give us a tour on the spot. We fell in love instantly and knew this place was it for us. I also remembered I had seen Har Mar Superstar perform in this space years ago! So cool! Everything about this venue was special. Maddie and her staff were absolutely wonderful to work with. They genuinely care, and want to make your event so special. We were allowed to have multiple food tastings, since we had some parents miss the first one, and we wanted to sample more food options to curate the best menu. They were very accommodating with this. For appetizers we ended up going with the moto waterfall (what a hit, and oh so beautiful!), the coop'd eggs, and the Cooperage House flatbread. For dinner, we opted for family style, having Sofrito Chicken, Vegetable Italian Pasta, Roasted Root Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, and the Cucumber & Tomato Salad. We opted for the wine/beer option, as well as the champagne toast. They allowed you to bring in dessert (we did have the coffee bar with them) and late night snacks from outside vendors, which we very much appreciated. Maddie was so flexible and willing to make any changes we wanted, even up to a few days before or day of. We ended up having the ceremony inside, and were happy we made that choice because of rain in the forecast. The garden area outside, would have been lovely, if the weather would have cooperated. While our guests didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we hoped, that was just Mother Nature's fault. Both inside and outside is absolutely gorgeous. Maddie worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator. The two bartenders were wonderful, as well. Our guests kept raving about the food and the space. We continue to get compliments on everything weeks later. My husband and I can't thank Maddie and everyone at the Cooperage enough for making our wedding go off without a hitch! It was absolutely magical!
