The Dance Lab Miami is an amazing dance studio. My daughters look forward to attending their ballet class every weekend. The staff is always sweet and attentive. It has helped their confidence a ton and they are doing an amazing job with this beginner dance class. All the teachers are wonderful and very talented. Never having taken dance classes they picked it up right away. Their teacher is very patient and kind and they love seeing her every morning. I definitely recommend the Dance Lab Miami for any students looking for a dance school where they will learn, grow, and be part of a wonderful team.
As a father, I can honestly say that The Dance Lab has been an incredible experience, not just for my daughter, but for our entire family. Watching my daughter grow through dance has been truly special. Her confidence, discipline, and love for performing have flourished in ways we never imagined. The instructors genuinely care about each dancer, pushing them to be their best while creating an environment that feels supportive, inspiring, and fun. What makes The Dance Lab truly unique, though, is the community it builds beyond the dancers themselves. My wife has formed amazing friendships with other dance moms relationships that go far beyond the studio walls. And for me, as a dad, I’ve made some of the strongest connections of my life with the other dance dads. There’s a sense of camaraderie, pride, and shared support that I never expected when we first joined. This studio has created a second family for us. It has given our daughter a place to shine and has given us friendships and memories we’ll always cherish. The Dance Lab didn’t just make my daughter a better dancer, it made me proud to be a dance dad!
This complaint is regarding a dance studio where my daughter was enrolled as a dancer for nearly three years. Throughout that time, she was not consistently happy, and on multiple occasions we attempted to withdraw her from the program. Each time, the studio insisted that she remain, stating that she was needed and offering to keep her enrolled at no charge due to her talent. All payments were required exclusively through Zelle; no other payment methods were accepted. Competition costumes were priced at what appeared to be double their reasonable value, and we were also charged for competition classes that frequently lacked instruction because teachers repeatedly left the studio. This instability significantly affected my daughter’s experience and contributed to her dissatisfaction. Eventually, we notified the studio that we would no longer continue. In response, the owner sent a letter threatening legal action unless we paid an additional $500. This demand came after we had already paid approximately $1,200 for competition costumes. While I understand that competition costumes may be non-refundable, it is completely unacceptable that the studio is refusing to release costumes that were fully paid for. Retaining paid property without justification is unreasonable and unheard of. Additionally, when attempting to resolve the alleged balance, we requested to pay via cashier’s check to ensure proper documentation and proof of payment. This was refused. The studio would only accept cash, which raises serious concerns about transparency and business practices. Given the lack of professionalism, unstable staffing, restrictive payment methods, and the withholding of paid property, I find these practices disrespectful to students and families. It is not surprising that many dancers are leaving. A business operating in this manner should be held accountable.
Honestly the best dance studio we've found. My granddaughters tried multiple studios before we found The Dance Lab, and this one is just amazing. All the instructors are patient and truly care about their students.
I have seen tremendous growth in my kids. When my older daughter joined the company team, she was shy and reserved, The Dance Lab welcomed her with open arms, and she has really flourished into a Social young lady. She is now confident in herself, and I attribute a large part of that to The Dance Lab. All the teachers are wonderful and incredibly talented. The dance lab also offers recreational classes, which my two other daughters take. I love the that this studio pushes the girls to be the best version of themselves. This studio is not like the others, the girls want to come and dance every day because of the environment. All the families at the Dance Lab unite when it comes time for competition, we treat every member as if they were our own! We watch all of them perform and cheer them on! So proud to be part of the Dance Lab family. TDL FOR LIFE🫶
