KJ and Angelo were incredible trainers for our golden retriever puppy! They were patient, upbeat, and extremely knowledgeable. Each class was well-structured, fun, and effective, and we saw real progress in our puppy every week. We learned so much and felt supported the entire time. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent dog trainers!

Hazel Fay and I just finished the Tranquil Treks class at The Dogs’ Spot, and it was wonderful. KJ is an outstanding instructor—patient, insightful, and great at helping both dogs and humans feel confident. We learned fun, simple games that completely transformed our walks. The game “123” felt truly magical. I’m now walking my Chihuahua on a 20-foot leash, and it somehow feels like she’s both on leash and totally free. Her confidence has soared—oh, the places we will go! If you want calmer, happier walks and a stronger bond with your dog, Tranquil Treks with KJ is a gem. Highly recommended! 🌟🐾 Additional my cat has learned the 123 game just from me practicing it with Hazel Fay at home!

Had two great classes for my one year old rescue dog. Natalie was awesome in adult manners and KJ was a huge help with Tranquil Treks class. I appreciate the gentle, positive method of training. My dog loves everyone there as well, you can tell the instructors are all huge dog lovers and have the well-being of your dog as their priority.

The Dogs' Spot is, without a doubt, the best dog training facility in the larger Kansas City metro. All of their employees are kind, knowledgeable, caring, genuine people and their collective training expertise is vast. From just basic household manners to high level competition agility, they have someone on staff with the skills to train you and your dog. Classes include tangible techniques and games as well as the science and canine psychology behind why they work. In addition, there are very few places that both understand reactive dogs AND work hard to assess them and ensure they can participate in a safe way. I have taken classes with KJ and Grace, both of whom are incredibly genuine, helpful, smart, and experienced. They don't just teach dog training, they teach humans to better understand their dogs. I am beyond grateful to have found The Dogs' Spot and to have the opportunity to learn from KJ, Grace, Natalie, Angelo, and Leanne. If you're looking for a dog training facility, especially if you have a reactive dog, look no further!

I HAD NO IDEA THIS TYPE OF DOG TRAINING EXISTED!! My pup Abraham and I trained with Karen. I had be having an extremely hard time with Abraham’s reactively and trauma after adopting him from KCPP. I was recommended to the dog spot and let me tell you it has been incredible to see the difference in Abraham! He is so much happier and confident. Karen’s method is positive reinforcement and science based and actually teaches your pup to coup with their anxieties and learn positive behaviors. I can’t recommend her enough!
