The Ensemble Theatre is one of Houston's hidden gems. I've seen several shows there in the past and loved every minute. Recently, I was hired to DJ a birthday celebration in their space, and the staff was beyond helpful and accommodating. They were so sweet and truly embodied the magic I felt so many years ago. It was a blessing to be a part of the event, especially to play for them.

Have attended 3 shows in the last 6 months! Comedy, musical, and mystery! Each one out did the other!! Love the Ensemble Theatre!

Oh this! Now this…THIS IS WHAT THEATRE IS SUPPOSED TO BE. Welcoming, accessible, accommodating, relatable, culturally competent and the play I saw Midnight on Friday the 13th was HILARIOUS. I’m talking knee slapping, side splitting, laugh out loud HILARIOUS. I have not laughed that hard, that long, that thoroughly in an regional theatre production..EVER. EVAH! DO YOU HEAR ME? I’m in. I’m buying season tickets, I’m donating, I’m sending my kids to their theatre camp, I AM INVESTED. This was everything. EVAHREETHANG. Go. Then go again. Then take a friend. Then take a group. Then do a fundraiser. My heart and soul are singing! The ancestors are so proud of this marvelous gem right in the heart of downtown Houston and if you take in a show there (which you should) you will be as well! Going to this theatre was the best experience I’ve had in Houston, EVER!!

Went to see the Piano Lesson and it was very well done. The actors had me in stitches the whole time. If you get a chance I would suggest that you go and see it.

First time in years visiting the Ensemble Theater.... and I must say it still exudes EXCELLENCE when you walk through the doors. I went to see A Motown Christmas and it was more than Great!!! The cast directed and choreographed by The Aisha Ussery was so good, from their singing to their captivating portraying of the Motown Greats!! The two young ladies in the play STOLE the show!! I definitely will be back!!
