Loved the Tuesday morning beginner class - everyone in the class was lovely 🤣. I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and meeting new people. Thanks to Jason - you are a great instructor/mentor. It has been a great experience 😊 looking forward to intermediate course next year

The 12 week beginners course was fantastic! Jason was an excellent tutor, the other students were all friendly & keen & I can’t believe what we all achieved in such a short period of time. It exceeded my expectations & I’d highly recommend it. I’ve signed up for the intermediate 10 week course. Can’t wait!!!

What an amazing course this is. Great teacher in Jason. Also Jess was so great with communication. Loved learning the basics again after so long from studying Art at school. So enjoyed it so have signed up for the intermediate class. Thoroughly recommend this course at the Southport Art School.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Beginner Foundation Course. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a complete beginner or to anyone who has a bit of art background but needs a little dusting off from putting art on hold for many years. From the basics of drawing, mixing colour, proportion, different painting techniques and so much more fitted into an easy 12 weeks course. The Beginner Foundation Course has given me all the foundations to be able to create quality artwork. I never thought that I would ever be able to paint a portrait by the end of this course and I did. I loved hanging out with and having interesting and fun conversations with like minded people who also have an interest in art and share our journeys together. My teachers Jason and Steven were kind, helpful, knowledgeable and supportive throughout the course. Jess was also great with keeping us updated and flexible with arrangements if we had to make up sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. There isn't any other art school on the Gold Coast like The Gold Coast Art School where the staff are experienced artists with broad knowledge in traditional and contemporary techniques.

The Gold Coast Art School is a very special place. Many of us use our time there as a break from the daily grind, letting our imaginations soar: we are encouraged to explore and grow as painters trialing many techniques finding our way round watercolour, oils, acrylics, pen and ink.. No matter which project we choose Stephen Buntrock, a wonderful artist in his own right is there to guide, support and teach sharing his huge range of knowledge in all mediums.
