Some of the best coffee and matcha in lexington. A new favorite spot. Also love the ambiance.

My first time here and the atmosphere is incredible! The greenery and decor is esthetically warm and inviting with lots of ample seating. However the Americano was subpar. It was too watery and the espresso tasted burnt and had no deep flavor one would expect from a shot. Definitely disappointed.

Drinks, food, and vibes were great. The shop itself is a beautiful mix of a modern coffee shop and a well loved greenhouse. No complaints there. However the girl with glasses that took my order was incredibly rude and passive aggressive, it felt like she really did not want to be there and snapped at me after asking one question about the menu. I did not feel very welcomed. The male barista who was making and serving drinks reeked of marijuana and also had an attitude. I could hear the employees loudly having inappropriate conversations and playing music while I sat at my table which was distracting and obnoxious. But otherwise I’m sure it’s a lovely environment for a daily study session over coffee. I really enjoyed the empanada I had along with my cold brew. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but the bizarre employee behavior was extremely off putting and is what ultimately led to me writing this review. I wholeheartedly believe in supporting local businesses, but having approachable, friendly, staff is in my opinion what keeps people coming back to them, and that is not the impression I got from my experience at The Greenery.
