Bowling and beers with my sales team. Loved the original bowling alley vibe and atmosphere
By far the worst customer experience I have ever faced! I've been to the gutter a number of times in the past & had good experiences, but will never be returning after last night! Ruben the floor manager was a disgrace. He was insanely aggressive and rude. We paid for an hour of bowling (and obligingly waited 2hrs for our slot). Got onto our lane - played for 30 mins and then the ball dispenser broke. It broke because apparently the lane couldn't take heavier balls. This was NOT mentioned to any of us, and there was NO signage on our lane 3 that this applied to us. There was a sticker on the lane beside ours, but not on ours specifically. Machine is broken - Ruben comes over and gives no context but says to wait 10 minutes. We wait 45 mins - still no fix. He then says it's fixed, we take a couple shots and it's broken again. At this point it's been 50+ minutes of waiting with NO ONE coming to tell us what is happening. Ruben then comes over and gets crazy aggressive with everyone on the lane because he doesn't think we have the right to a refund. He was shouting and storming around the room - saying he would give us $5 because we only had 10 mins left on our game (not true). He completely ruined our nights and everyone else's nights around us. I understand things break and Saturday nights are of course busy. We were completely understanding of that. But the way in which he escalated the situation and refused to acknowledge how messed around we had been for an hour was totally unprofessional.
We hosted our salon holiday party at The Gutter Brooklyn in Williamsburg and had the best time. The staff and bartenders were incredibly kind and welcoming, and getting bowling shoes was quick and easy. The lanes were spacious and comfortable to hang out by, which made it perfect for a group. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and they were very accommodating about letting us bring food in for the party. It ended up being one of our favorite spots yet for a team celebration, and we’ll definitely be back.
I love the atmosphere. People working there are doing their best to help you. The machines are all vintage so they break very often but it is a boutique small bowling place which makes it so lovely. I don’t like crowded loud bowling places so it is perfect for me. They have a bar and a pool table at the entrance area.
Decent bowling alley with a good atmosphere Overall, I had a good time at this bowling alley. The place is a bit old and could use some updates, but it still has a fun and friendly atmosphere. It’s a nice spot to spend time with friends and enjoy a game or two.
