I live in Houston but when I visit NY I take the train to get a blowout & style at this salon. I've been twice and absolutely loved my experience. The vibe in there is so welcoming and there is something interesting to look at while getting serviced. The two different stylists I had did a great job on my straight, fine hair. Highly recommend this salon 💗

Went for a hair cut at another salon and came out looking like a soccer mom (no one’s fault, just wasn’t what I wanted!). Visited The Hair Room and got a much cooler, funkier vibe which was what I was going for. 🔥✨🔥 Everyone who works there are the sweetest humans. Highly recommend! ❤️

Came here for a consult on a root touch up, didn't get seen until 25 minutes after my appointment time, and then they told me it was going to be $180 just for a root touch up! Totally overpriced. Went to Salon Gatto and it was only $120, and its much cleaner and more professional. It feels pretty dingy in there, felt kind of gross just sitting on the couches. The fact that they have a mutual aid shelf with those kind of prices is laughable. Maybe just help your clients out by not overcharging them so much...

THANK YOU EMMY!! I had an absolute wonderful experience in her chair! There was never a once of judgement or dismissive comments coming from her; for me that is beyond refreshing. Emmy understood exactly what I wanted and made it happen for me! In all my years i genuinely have never had such a positive experience in a salon chair before. I especially love how friendly the rest of the staff was! I wish I got all of your names 💔 This truly is an inclusive space and I felt welcomed and supported. Thank you everyone!! Got such a great haircut from Jahaira today! I showed her four slightly different inspo photos and she translated them perfectly into a cut that looks amazing on me. Always love coming to this spot and this is one of the best cuts I’ve gotten here!
