The HQ Madison

Needed a change of scenery and an old school approach to weight lifting to support my Muay Thai and golf fitness. Found HQ and got a nice welcome from Jenn and Josh who have started cultivating an exciting business collaboration. Loads of equipment and weights to choose from. They’ll be expanding soon and I’m stoked to see the place grow and welcome more members. 5 stars!

Highly highly highly recommend HQ Madison. I don’t feel like “just another member” as I have at other Madison gym franchises. The owners Jenn and Josh are SUPER approachable and able to answer questions I have about the equipment and other questions related to the gym. There’s practically double of every machine, so I never felt like I was having to wait for a machine. All equipment is clean and is solid condition – I haven’t yet encountered any faulty/unsafe machines. Drop in policy is super accessible at $10, so whenever I have friends in town I bring them there – including my bachelor party! One of the greatest things about HQ is they have a plethora of personal trainers to choose from. I’ve been working with Alex Windhaeuser as my personal trainer over the last year and have made leaps in my strength that I’ve not been able to make on my own for years. I’m down 15 pounds from where I started a year ago and see visible positive changes in my physique. He’s taken time to get to know me as a person which in turn, he has been able to create a workout plan specific to my goals. He provides great guidance on all aspects on health – diet, rest, training intensity, and mental balance. He’s an incredible advocate for mental and physical growth, we talk all the time about positive thought exercises, overcoming adversity, and growing confidence which transfers directly to all other areas of my life. If you want to make huge gains – in and out of the gym – Alex is your guy!

I started working out at the HQ Madison in September and it has been exactly what I needed!! I’ve been doing personal training with Jenn once a week and get coaching and support with nutrition. Jenn is hilarious, genuine, upbeat, knowledgeable, and has always made me feel accepted and comfortable from day one. I know she really cares about the work she does. I lost 24 pounds in the first three months! And it’s so much more than the scale moving. I’ve had entire mindsets change about food and exercise, I’ve gained more confidence, in a better mood, more productive in my life. I could go on and on but joining the HQ and working with Jenn has improved my life immensely in a short time.

I found HQ on google and they were the first on my list to visit once I moved. After going to my second gym, I knew I was wasting my time exploring other options. Everyone from the staff to the members are always so positive and welcoming. They have have every type of lifter there with every level of experience so it’s very beginner friendly. They also have more advanced athletes and plenty trainers to help you elevate your training. Also never gets crowded which is rare for any gym. I’d highly recommend it! First day is free and they’re not pushy when it comes to selling a membership. My first day I was welcomed, directed to a paper to sign and wasn’t bothered unless I needed help.

When I chose the HQ for training I had no idea the impact it would make on my life. I train with Kelly who is so incredibly kind and supportive and through working with her at the HQ, I have met all of the other trainers and people that workout there… and let me tell you… they are the best! I have never entered a gym with a more welcoming environment. Josh, the owner, is always around and always happy to see you. I have made more new friends in the last year just from this gym. I am so grateful I found this place! I look forward to every day I get to step foot in this gym!! ❤️🔥💪
