I came here with my family to celebrate my mother's birthday 🎂 I'm not trying to be mean with my review. But if your a fine dining place, you have much higher standards to achieve. Those standards were not met in my opinion. I'm giving 2 of 5 stars for the food, but I have to lower it to 1 of 5 stars because they don't acknowledge birthdays here. If I would have known that, I would have planned something to bring personally to sing happy birthday and blow candles for my mother. For the price of the meals, you'd expect not to be served dirty tap water. They get away with it somehow nobody notices I guess, since they have nice glassware. My mother ordered the 16 hour slow roasted $46 prime rib. It was tough and no flavor representing the slow roast process. She switched plates with my step aunt, who ordered the wagyu new york. Kind of impressed they had a tough meat after 16 hours of being slow roasted. My step aunts $79 wagyu new York was more tender, as wagyu should be. I had a bite and it was alright, but I would rather order two burgers for that price. My sister ordered the $52 wood fired ribeye, she enjoyed it. No complaints here, she was happy. My brother ordered the pan seared Alaskan halibut. He had no complaints but felt it was lacking flavor and wouldn't order it again. Just eating it not to waste it. I ordered the classic cheeseburger. This ended up being the best out of all our meals. Juicy, garlic aoli, grilled onions. Can't go wrong with that. It was the only thing I liked here personally. Comes with garlic fries, which was also good. Not too oily and a good garlic powder on them. We tried the bread pudding and chocolate souffle for dessert. The bread pudding was extremely hard, as if they torched it or fried it and was unexpected. But it says buttered croissant so that was strange. Reminded me of those theme park funnel cakes texture-wise. Flavor was not too sweet, but didn't really have an identity. Topped with vanilla ice cream. The chocolate souffle was like a bowl of fudge. Nobody really liked it, but we ate it as not to waste it. I think it would have been good combined with a plain bread pudding to make a chocolate flavor and give some identity to the bread pudding. They do go heavy on the alcohol, I would say this is a nice place to have some drinks as a date or get together. I wouldn't come here for the food personally. I ordered a long Island, substituting the coke for sprite. I got a strange look from the server for my request, but it was carried out so no complaints. It was very heavy and I don't normally drink alcohol so I felt it good. I couldn't order another or that would send me over, so they do serve good drinks from that experience. Unfortunately like I said in the beginning, I have to give 1 star since they don't acknowledge birthdays. I asked our waitress and she looked like they don't do that kind of thing here. But she went ahead and got us a candle with an ice cream scoop. Pretty silly if you ask me, a fine dining joint serving a scoop of ice cream. I was pretty upset. I would have got something much better personally if I'd known this ahead of time. 1 of 5 stars. Come here for drinks, not the food or birthdays. I will not return here.
I've been a returning patron here for the last few years and this is the crème de la crème of creative high end cookery in Fresno. Reservations are recommended. My husband and I found this place while we were still dating to celebrate an anniversary, then it quickly became a favorite yearly tradition. It feels classy, cozy, and warm with the leather chairs, curved booths, and smoky mirrors on the walls. It feels like a place Gatsby would spend weekends at for drinks 🍸 When my husband proposed, he set up a scavenger hunt of our favorite eateries across the county and we ended at the Lime Light. The lobster mac appetizer was delectable! I am so happy it is a permanent part of their otherwise evolving menu. This kitchen does a fabulous job of rotating seasonal flavors so there are new things to try. 🍴 We just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here and I had the diver scallops with the Ricotta agnolotti. They were perfectly cooked with caramelized edges and a buttery tender center. My husband enjoyed his halibut and the creamiest-center roasted potatoes and tender broccolini. The flavors of each plate were so different and you're sure to find something you like on this menu. They even have great, thick burgers and the most banger garlic fries! Our server Brooklyn was sweet, kept drinks full, and knew the menu well. She even checked the bar to make sure they're had the right liqueur for an Elderflower 75. It was so sweet and perfect for our celebration. My husband prefers the old fashions and says they use the best balance of orange and simple syrup here. We so loved the thoughtfulness and kindness of the staff and manager here. We shared a request for inside seating on the reservation because I've got RA and the manager checked in once we got our table because he noticed it was really chilly at our table so close to the door. He offered us a new booth closer to the kitchen so I could be warmer and his kindness for my arthritis meant everything to me. He even stopped by later to check in on us and brought us a few extra berries for our desert when I shared they were my favorite part, no questions asked! If you want a memorable meal, check out the Lime Light - they will exceed expectations every time. 🎉
Well enjoyed reservation. Great atmosphere, relaxing, and chill. Service was fantastic as I felt I hadn't needed to SEEK out my server. It was almost as though they were in my head! Wagyu steak was a TAD on dry side, but delicious nevertheless when paired with that DAOU. Great dinner overall. PS.. VERY comparable to the deliciousness that Heirloom is.
This is my third time at Lime Lite and it was amazing as usual. The service is top notch here. They come around to make sure everything is fine and on time. There’s no time wasted among any of the staff! I had the wood grilled salmon and it was a great pair of smoky salmon and fresh cucumbers. For an appetizer we had surf and turf and it was the best appetizer we’ve had in Fresno. I’ve also had the Calamari strips which were great as well. The drinks here are strong and very well done. The lemon drop is so good! All in all this place is a 5/5 🔥
Always so consistent. Been here a lot and Never had any bad food or drinks. Great service every time! Killer food. Amazing atmosphere. Best spot in town, no question! I will be coming back for as long as they are around. Bravo!
