I am very happy with the reopening of London Tea Room. I made my first visit back this weekend since they opened and everything was fantastic as usual. I wish I caught our waiters name, tall gentleman. Very nice and informative! I had the Bedford with my afternoon tea selection. The chicken salad croissant was amazing! And the pumpkin scone and cream. The cream is definitely the star! The atmosphere is cute and I love that it is not a huge place. It is small and cozy.

The London Tea Room is back and beautiful!! We loved the building, the big windows, pretty chandeliers, and music. The location was also a huge upgrade over the prior one with dedicated, on-site parking in a lovely, upscale neighborhood just by the park. The coronation chicken salad was fantastic, every bit as good as we remembered, and still one of my favorites. The cucumber sandwiches were better than I remembered, and the desserts were good too. We had a small issue with the scones that the owner discovered before we could even say anything. So, we got to leave with an extra box of delicious, perfect scones to go!! Service was excellent. We'll be back. Our only request is an expanded lunch menu at some point in the future with bigger chicken salad sandwiches. 😁

After vacationing in the UK last year, I'd hoped there was a similar afternoon tea experience here in St. Louis. We moved to the area after the previous London Tea Room had closed so I don't have anything to compare this new one to. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. We went on a Saturday at 10:00am and I'm glad we did because by the time we left at 11:45, it was getting busy and a bit loud. The tea selection is amazing! I had the Mistletoe Mint and my friend had The Naughty Vicar. I think the next time I go, I'll just get the high tea because the sweets/desserts in the afternoon tea weren't as good as the savories. The physical space is beautiful, bright, and airy. I can't remember his name but the man who brought out our food and explained each tier was so nice, engaging, and made us excited to try everything. For an experience like this, the staff and their attitudes and demeanors are just as important as the food. This afternoon tea is more affordable than others in the area, but $45 is still a good amount for the average person. You're paying for the food and tea as well as the experience. After we dined, we went to the giftshop to load up on teas and we weren't disappointed in the selection. The staff in the shop were also very attentive and helpful. I'm looking forward to going again! (One suggestion I would make though is to install hooks in the bathroom for us ladies to hang up our purses and coats!).

My first time here. The tea was very good, and the location is beautiful. The food, however; is not a reason to return. Some of the dishes (particularly desserts) gave the impression of having been frozen and thawed. Macarons & Linzer cookies had sub-standard texture and flavor. The sausage rolls and scones were cold and hard as if they came directly from a fridge - not room temp - cold. I was shocked that for $45/person, this is the experience. The women's bathrooms need hooks for purses and coats. Also, the reservation system asks if you are coming for a special occasion and I did add that it was for my sister's birthday. Why is that information taken if there is absolutely no acknowledgement of it during the service? Seems strange to me. I wouldn't look at this for future special events, unfortunately.

You have to make a reservation currently in order to go but well worth it. Our server Maurgan W was incredible. She deserves a commendation. She helped suggest things knowing it was our first time. She made wonderful choices we loved. She was patient and understanding with my daughter who's birthday we were celebrating. The store we visitied after was also wonderful with exceptional staff. We will go again when we can afford it. Loved our experience!
