I had a massage with Dejah, and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had! She was very attentive and I definitely walked out feeling relaxed! The lounge area and locker rooms were clean, the tea offered was really good, and the front desk staff were all very friendly. Would recommend!
I have been coming to The Pearl for the Healing Waters experiences for years. And it has been MORE than worth it. The staff has always been incredible and everything has always been clean and welcoming and incredibly wonderful. However, today- I received inexperienced my first treatment and it was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD. Mayasa was incredible from welcoming to exit. She was receptive to what I had to say about what I wanted and needed and she absolutely acted on that in terms of my treatment. She was beyond incredible. I cannot recommend her enough. I haven’t had a massage in years and I have already booked one for next month because I feel so good moving forward. I can’t wait to keep coming back and keep getting better. The Pearl is the best place to come for personal wellness. 100%
I wet here on Saturday to have some time to relax on my birthday week. I also had a baby this year so a peaceful day was much needed. When I first arrived it was easy to find and the front desk staff were very nice. The place was clean, well decorated, and the ambiance was very calming. It smelled like essential oils and they had peaceful music in the background. I was shown around quickly and then given a robe, slippers and a warmed neck pillow. The waiting room had access to tea and water which was nice. I wish they had separate areas for women and men while waiting for services. I was in just my robe and felt a bit uncomfortable. My facial was with Holly and she did a wonderful job. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and I fully enjoyed my experience. My massage however, was a disappointment. I had Deborah and although she was nice, I had mentioned several times the areas I wanted to focus on and even pointed to it during the message and instead of massaging the area, she recommended that I “carry my baby on the other shoulder”…although it’s a good idea to practice that in the future..I came there for a 75 minute custom massage and it didn’t feel very custom to my specific needs. She also wasn’t very good at massaging the rest of my body. I’ve had many massages in my lifetime due to back pain from my prior service in the military and this massage ranked low on my list. After my facial and massage I went to the healing waters. The staff in there were really nice also. However, compared to a lot of high end spas I’ve visited, the environment reminded me of an indoor hotel pool. It didn’t look the nicest. It was loud and didn’t match the calm, quiet vibe I just came from while having my other services, but perhaps if you went during the week it would be quieter. Overall, for spending a little under 500 dollars, I left disappointed in the massage and healing waters experience. I wouldn’t recommend or go back again.
I got the sacred pearl massage with Michelle, and she was absolutely wonderful! She was mindful about my needs and took preferred pressure into account. The gua sha was amazing and I felt almost detoxed after the service. It was awesome. She was five stars- and I would definitely book with her again. Rating 4 stars specifically because massages/services here are so expensive I wish they were a bit more affordable.
I’ve been going to The pearl spa for many many years. It’s been one of my favorite spas in the area for quite a while. This was my first time going to The pearl spa since it’s moved to Columbia Maryland by Whole Foods. It’s a little tricky to find as there is no large exterior sign. Luckily there was a small sandwich or sign right outside to guide you into the building entrance, which is to the left of Whole Foods. Once inside the building, you take the elevator to level 1 and you’ll enter the pearl spa, where nirvana is near. I signed up for a sound healing experience at The pearl spa where you float in their swimming pool to the sound of relaxing healing chimes and ocean waves. Prior to being escorted to the pool, the receptionist invited us to go to the lounge where we could sit and relax and enjoy flavored waters or herbal teas while we waited. Once we got to the pool, we removed our shoes and socks, and where greeted by an staff member who asked if we wanted to have some Palo Santo smudged around us before the experience. There were two lifeguards to assist with getting onto the inflatable mattresses. Luckily bathing suits were not required or necessary as you are not immersed in the water at all during the experience The experience begins with a guided meditation and deep breathing exercises as you float gently in the pool. After about an hour, the experience concludes, and you are guided to exit the pool with the assistance of the lifeguards. The entire experience last for about an hour, and it was wonderful so relaxing so calming After the experience concluded, the staff member came back to ask if we wanted to experience some aromatherapy where we had a choice of two scents or you could have both a mist of inner peace and infinite joy. The pearl spa has a nice little store where you can find lots of body care, aromatherapy and other healing products. I would like to go back for a massage or spa treatment and enjoy the healing waters. There is a cold plunge pool, steam shower, sauna and other amenities. The pearl spa also offers aerial yoga classes and group acupuncture among treatments and experiences. It a lovely and relaxing place, where self care is paramount.
