We cannot thank The Pet Chalet enough for the incredible care they gave our elderly, unwell Bordie Collie while we were away. Leaving her was a huge worry for us but from start to finish and they went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did they keep a close and compassionate eye on her but when it became clear she needed medical attention, they acted immediately, getting her to our beautiful vet, keeping us informed and making sure she received exactly the care she needed. Knowing she was in such capable, kind and genuinely caring hands meant everything to us. It is rare to find a boarding kennel that treats dogs as if they were their own family but that is exactly what they do. Their dedication, professionalism and genuine love for animals truly set them apart. We came home to a dog who was settled, cared for and clearly loved. We would not hesitate to recommend The Pet Chalet to anyone, especially those with older or more vulnerable pets. They made an incredibly stressful situation so much easier and we will be forever deeply grateful. Thank you to The Pet Chalet for everything you do to keep our animals safe and secure!
Betty and Kevin boarded here for 4 nights. It was their first time boarding. The staff assured us they would be okay and that it’s all good, but if there were any problems we would be contacted immediately. It all went well! They had structured exercise and walking and access to a run and they were fed the highest quality food What was very impressive is the high standard of ethics at The Pet Chalet. Betty was scared of the hydro bath so they said that they removed the charges. And Kevin did not eat his bone and they likewise removed the charges. I was so grateful for this disclosure because we had prepaid the hydro bath and extra bones, and would not have known if they had them or not, as Betty and a kevin can’t talk! We were very happy with the service provided by The Pet Chalet and will definitely use them again for a ‘holiday’ for Betty and Kevin,
They have taken the best care of our two dogs over multiple instances, through a very stressful interstate move & for multiple holidays. They’ve been extremely thorough in their care and communication, and always go above and beyond for the dogs. The dogs are always excited when we pull up at the pet chalet :)
My dog has stayed here twice, first time was good. Staff are super nice and very accommodating. She seemed happy and no issues. The second time she stayed for a week and lost 2kg, for a 5kg dog I found it quite concerning to get my dog back after a week and under weight. Especially too as I had paid extra to bring in her chicken free food and medication. I picked her up fairly late in the afternoon and was notified she hadn't been fed that day either.. I don't think I'll be bringing her back
A huge thank you to the wonderful staff who stayed to take care of Harry, Jack and the other dogs during the recent cyclone. You worked in extremely difficult conditions to keep the dogs safe, fed and exercised. Your focus on looking after the dogs in your care, and not worrying about yourself was admirable. Staff like you three women take the worry out of leaving my dogs at The Pet Chalet. I know that they are in excellent hands.
