Doctor Alex Tauberg is a wizard in scrubs. 10 out of 10 stars, would recommend. I came in at the beginning of November after I injured my lower back while weight training over the summer and into late October. The injury caused severe sciatica down the back of my right thigh and calf – pain so bad that at times I would be in tears. I’ve had back issues for over ten years, and my previous chiro had always been able to manage the issues. This most recent time, however, I noticed that not even two visits a week for over a month were touching my pain. I panicked. And then I hit up google. There are a lot of chiros in Pittsburgh. Real talk, the reason I booked with Alex initially was because it was the middle of the night, I was in tears, couldn’t sleep and I was thinking I would never be okay again and he was the only doctor you could book online. He uses the Jane app and it’s kinda cool. Because I didn’t even talk to anyone, I did question if it was all legit but – if you are on the fence and reading this, just DO IT. My choosing him was a random decision but it was a damn good one. Doctor Alex was amazing from the start – listening to everything I said and answering all my questions. I felt heard – and he explained things in a way that I could understand them from the initial discovery visit through my last visit. Treatment varies between patients, but Alex used a mix of light stretching, heat and gentle manipulation during my sessions and gave me at-home stretches in between visits. He checked how I felt during each step. I loved that it was a conservative approach and that it made sense when he explained it. He also demonstrated the at-home exercises so that I could do them on my own. The first few visits were rough; I would be in pain but after that, each time I left I felt amazing. There was no activator gun, and I never saw him throw people around like it’s WWE. But since treatment appears tailored to each patient – maybe he DOES do that. I started treatment at the beginning of November 2025 and my last visit was early January 2026. Two months and I feel like a new person. I can run and do the things I did before and do not have to worry about taking an Advil. It’s such an amazing feeling and I’m giving Doctor Alex the cred. Add to that the fact that he’s genuinely a nice human, is fun to talk to, has a clean office and is super flexible with time and you get – well, no one wants to be at the doctor’s office – but it’s pretty close to a perfect experience. I wasn’t sure I was going to go back to my personal trainer after this injury but now I am. I’m pretty sure Alex can fix anything that happens to anyone and if -God forbid- I got hurt again at least I know he'll fix it. I cannot recommend him enough.
Alex does uh-mazing work. The office and rooms are nice and clean. I honestly can’t say enough good things about my experiences with Alex.
I had severe TMJ, and my jaw had been locked for three months when I first came in. After seeing another TMJ specialist without success, I found Dr. Alex Tauberg. He used gentle adjustments that truly worked. After just a few sessions, I’m pain-free and my jaw moves again. In addition, he’s given me some at home exercises that work really well. I’m incredibly grateful for his care and highly recommend him to anyone suffering from this condition.
I have been experiencing neck pain which results in getting severe headaches. This has been disrupting my sleep as well as other aspects of my life. After 4 visits with Dr. Tauberg, things have dramatically improved. His therapies along with his empathy towards my situation are beyond professionalism. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
I went to the chiropractor for the first time to do something about some nagging neck pain, and Dr. Alex Tauberg IS the Pittsburgh Chiropractor. On our initial discovery visit, he took the time to learn more about my medical history and my complaints and did a quick neuro-assessment so that he could help me quickly get back to running after my boys. He definitely provided thorough, thought-out, one-on-one personalized care using several different treatment methods like soft-tissue massage and light stretching. I walked out of there feeling like a brand new woman! If you’re in the greater Pittsburgh area, go see The Pittsburgh Chiropractor, to achieve the outcomes that you need to get better!
