Wish they had this place when I was a wild child and had days when I wanted to get away or bored out of my mind . I would of gladly ran away there inside a warm and inclusive environment instead of going to south side of Chicago to get stranded . (Serious about my emancipation that got denied every time I tried when 17 yrs old from Louisville Ky ) that chichi girl would of been kool to if had to talk to . Hehehe

Great selection and prices, friendly helpful staff and space to hang out and read or play a board game from their selection. All to benefit the local community 👌 We were travelling and stopped on our way through for reading material (never leave home without enough books! 🤓📚), so I don’t know if/when we’ll get a chance to visit again, but totally would if we find ourselves in the neighborhood. This experience has reminded me to make a point to check out used bookstores more often and this model seems like one more communities could consider adopting 👏

What a great find! There was standstill traffic on the interstate so I followed GPS on a detour. As I was sitting at a redlight I saw this little shop and had to stop! I found several books from the late 1800's at very reasonable prices! They will make great gifts! Friendly worker, many modern books too. The best thing about this little store is that it's a not-for-profit store that puts its proceeds back into the local community that it's located in. I'll be back!

I just discovered this store today, and I will definitely go back. My favorite part is the kids corner, which is a room dedicated to children's books. It even has a few toys in there, so my toddler daughter was content while her older brothers and I shopped. The prices were surprisingly low and the employees were friendly and helpful.
