I recently visited the Abbey for a brief two-day retreat. Peter was incredibly accommodating, and the space itself was purposeful, relaxing, and tuned to help the mind and spirit unwind. I found it immensely helpful for re-connecting with God and myself. I would easily recommend this to anyone seeking a place outside their typical routine where they can focus entirely on mindfulness and self-care. I will certainly be visiting again in the future.

Staying at the Abba was a five star experience. The room I stayed in said “Welcome” the moment I opened the door. A cozy little sofa area to read and enjoy the view. A desk with plenty of room to study, write and be creative. The room offers a spacious sleeping area, room to hang clothes and a very comfortable bed to sleep in. The view from room four is of the back yard and neighbors yard. I had access to the kitchen and sitting spaces down stairs. Oh and if you love to read, you will be in book heaven! I will be staying at the Abby in the future and I’m looking forward to the hospitality of Peter and Jackie. They exude hospitality and kindness.

My husband and I had the privilege of staying here one night. The house is charming, peaceful and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the tranquil environment and the hospitality of the hosts. If you need time for peace and reflection in your life, this might be a wonderful place for you. I am thankful for Jackie and Peter’s sanctuary space.

We loved everything about our stay at the Abbey - it far exceeded our expectations! It was clean and adorable. Its intention of being a place of rest was perfectly met. There were several nooks inviting a quiet place of rest. The bookshelves were incredibly stocked with books to also help with this cause. The rest we received in one night there has carried over into this whole next week. We have shared our experience with many family and friends hoping they can experience the Abbey as well!

It’s rare to find truly peaceful and centering places in the city. That is exactly what staying at The Abbey offers. An intersection of quiet reflection and calm connection awaits you and welcomes you to come as you are, where you are. The beautiful intentionality of each book available to browse, curated and meaningful art thoughtfully hung, and a lush & wild wonderland of flowers, plants, and trails to meander through create an oasis of invitation to the deep well of life. The rooms are bathed in cozy character yet wonderfully simple in their natural aesthetic and warm vibe. There is no detail hosts, Peter & Jackie, have overlooked, from comfy beds and sound machines in each room adding ambiance, to wholesome meals cooked and served to satisfy the senses as well as the soul. As a ministry couple, my husband and I need a place we can disconnect while in search of reconnection to each other and God, and The Abbey more than meets those needs. It is a place the Spirit can be felt and will move, all you need do is show up with a willingness to be still and know... We cannot wait to return for another time of renewal.
