I visited this Salvation Army donation center on 11/2 hoping to support their mission, but left disappointed by the unprofessional treatment I received. When dropping off my donations, the staff member responded with "bro, you're killing me with these donations" - a comment that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than someone trying to help. When I requested a donation receipt (which is a standard, reasonable request for tax purposes), I was met with visible irritation. I understand donation centers can be busy and the work is demanding, but donors should not be made to feel like a burden. I donate regularly to this location of salvation army and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism. I hope management will address customer service training with their staff. The Salvation Army does important work in the community, but this location needs improvement in how they treat donors who make that work possible.
FIVE STARS! SALVATION ARMY TURNS LIVES AROUND. The impact and ripple effect is enormous. I have had the pleasure of seeing men being able to connect with FAITH AND HOPE. SEEING their eyes and the lights ✨️ turn on again with the self love is PRICELESS. IT'S AN HONOR TO BE ABLE TO REFER FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO THE SALVATION ARMY.
Very bad service and store seems in dis array. It's been for the last two visits indeed. Staff very rude not engaged positively & not pro active. I tried purchasing crock pot but cashier was engaged asking me if it works at which point I replied why put on shelf not working. She said it's upto me to test it in a wall plug & they don't have time and sell it as was put on shelf..You,'ve time to take our money selling unconfirmed functioning item which is not honest or appropriate. What kind of business are you running. The BBB would like to hear this very much indeed. By the way customer ahead of me a Asian human being had same issue faced a humiliating gesture after paying and cashier pointed her physical hand side ways told him leave her register. It was insulting annoying and disgusting behavior on sales floor she should be written up and reprimanded. Any electrical plug in items should be confirmed working!!! Do the Wright thing don't cheat your customers.
I use to donate thousands dollars worth of items including high end items like coach and MK but recently the store workers have become very rude. People have asked to buy the items off of me as they are good quality and good condition but I chose to donate here thinking it could help the cause of the organization. After the treatment, never mind I’ll just donate it elsewhere.
