We recently rented the “Pink House” which is under new management (ALL OF THE VERANDA IS)! We originally booked with Felicia and she was AMAZING! BROOKE took over the entire venue, events and The Pink House. Brooke contacted me a couple weeks before our visit and informed us they were doing a total renovation and there would be no TV…I inquired about the pool because that was the main deciding factor for us and she said it would be ready to do. A few days before our trip I confirmed the pool would in fact be available and she said yes and I let her know there needed to be a television. She the pool was ready but no TV. Remind you WE HAVE ALREADY PAID IN FULL and this is 3 days before our flight. We arrive; someone is parked in the driveway; I contact Brooke and she informed me we are not to be there until 5:00 pm when in fact her confirmation e-mail stated we could check in the day prior at 5:00pm. Well I will let the pictures tell the story but she owes us a FULL REFUND AND AN APOLOGY.

I was lucky enough to win a weekend stay at The Pink Cottage Airbnb at The Veranda + a private yoga session with Janie / Ignite Your Flow. This is a great location! It’s tucked in such a charming area, just a short walk from great restaurants and Lake Eola. Another plus is that The Veranda usually has fun events or markets in the courtyard. The backyard was such a peaceful space, perfect for the private yoga session with Janie and taking cute pics for Insta. If you’re looking for a convenient and relaxing spot to explore the best of Thornton Park, this is a great choice.

The Veranda at Thornton Park turned out to be the perfect venue for us in more ways that one. If you’re looking for a venue with cute houses to stay in on site, freedom to create your dream event, and amazing people to work with, then this is your venue. Between our close friends and family we stayed in all three of the houses available. The orange house is great to sleep 6 people if everyone is ok with sharing a bed. That was our main hangout house for the weekend and had everything we needed. The blue house was perfect for my mom to stay in; small but perfectly tucked away and had a great view. If you you’re having your wedding here, I highly recommend having private appetizers on the gorgeous deck overlooking the lovely town. My husband and I did this right after our ceremony and I cannot recommend it enough! On our wedding night, my husband and I stayed in the pink house which was my favorite house. It was the perfect little cottage to escape from our family for the night. The Vernada has some amazing vendor recommendations for everything you might need for your event but also allows you to bring in your own vendors if you choose. The freedom to do so made planning our wedding more fun and budget friendly. Although I agree with the venue that DJ Ben Bravo is the best! Felicia, who owns and runs the Veranda made the whole weekend a magical event. Her laid back attitude and fun nature made planning and executing our wedding fun and easy. I swear Felicia’s chill demeanor can calm any bridezilla (yes I’m referring to myself). Not only is she good at her job, she’s a great person to know. After this wedding I know that we have made new friends for life. I cannot wait to have our anniversary parties here for all the years to come. Thank you so much Felicia and the Vernada team for making our wedding so perfect. P.S. The houses make for some amazing photo backgrounds!

The Veranda is a gorgeous + versatile event space nestled in Thornton Park just a block from Lake Eola. We recently visited for a Galentine’s night market. The property was absolutely transformed between each visit; a country/Wild West themed corporate christmas party and a candlelit classical music concert. They have such a variety of events held there + the shops on-site are so cute. It’s wonderful being able to get craft coffee + do some shopping in the neighborhood. Definitely check them out!

I love this venue. I am the Event Build Manager and enjoy transforming the venue for every occasion. It has the southern elegance and class you would expect from a downtown venue. There is an ample amount of space available, as well as a pool and Airbnb options. All event types are welcome.
