Carlos and his people did a beautiful job completely restoring my falling-apart 100+ year old chair which came from my great grandmother and is dear to me - it is a solid seat now, usable again and GORGEOUS!! Highly recommend!
From the moment I brought in my parents antique chair to be evaluated, Carlos knew the approximate age of the chair just looking at it without me saying a word. That's when I knew they would be in good hands having them repaired. Carlos mentioned when he was done with the repair, they would last another hundred years. He was right, they are as solid as a rock. I highly recommend The Village Woodsmith to anyone looking to have antique wood furniture repaired or restored. Ed Perez
I decided to use The Village Woodsmith to revitalize our 30 year old dining server. It was so worn from years of use. However, the server was so functional I hated to part with it when we bought a new dining set from Ethan Allen. Our old set was yellow oak, the new set dark brown. Carlos, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. He worked hard to ensure the new stain was to my satisfaction. He invited me to the workshop to review his work before placing on the final varnish. I bought vintage draw handles with different hole areas ( I am still looking for vintage door knobs). However, Carlos covered the old holes with such perfection that you can’t see where they were. I would highly recommend this company. They are honest, fair, talented, professional, and have excellent communication with their client’s to ensure their satisfaction. I will use them again on another project.
Carlos and team did such a great job bringing this piece back to life. It has been in my family since at least 1900 and had been neglected. It is beautiful now and will hopefully remain in my family another 125+ years. ( First picture is before, second is after.) THANK YOU ♥️
I wanted to share the amazing experience we had when we had Carlos and his team refinish our 50-year old Scandinavian dining set. Everything went like clockwork, from the timely communication to the delivery of the finished work. Not only did it look stunning, the new upholstery and cushioning on the chairs was a huge improvement over the original. Would highly recommend his work for anyone looking at refurbishing or refreshing their wood furniture.
