This place is such a gem and exactly what Louisville needed! The ambience is adorable and the wine is amazing. Each staff member that we interacted with was so friendly and knowledgeable. If you like great wines and a relaxed atmosphere, you will love it here! We will definitely be back!

I adored my experience at The Wine Room & can't wait to go back & bring friends! Learning about wine & spirits is something I enjoy, & Maddie was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of every J. Bell product she poured. The quality differential of their natural wine-making process is evident from the first sip. Beyond the wine itself, which was divine, each tasting was accompanied by a food pairing from Chef Chris that blew me away. It was clear from the pairings that he, tasting guide Maddie & J. Bell wine maker Stephanie worked hard to identify & elevate the best qualities of the wine through complementing food flavors. Their tasting menu & pairings will rotate & I can't wait to experience what they create next! I am still dreaming about the '22 Grenache paired with a Roasted Red Pepper Tartlet with warm goat cheese inside. This is a perfect night out with friends or place to host a special event or entertain guests with an unforgettable experience!

Date night or just spending time with friends, the Wine Room gives memorable experiences to enjoy. I was there for a tasting and food pairing. The wines are exquisite and varied. They all have a story that (spoiler alert) concludes with wines that are made the right way. The food pairings we enjoyed were sublime. At times, the food would bring out the best in the wine, and other times the wine extracted the intricate flavors in the food. For a place like this — that is focused on wine — to bring in a chef who can deliver world class dishes, it is lightning in a bottle. The courteous and deeply knowledgeable staff made this spot a hit for me.

This place is amazing. Wine experts, Maddie and Stephanie, will pair just the right wine to your taste. Chef Chris presented delicious and creative small bites that went with our wine selections. Many wonderful Washington wines to choose from. The decor and atmosphere is wonderful. What a great addition to Louisville and Frankfort Ave I highly recommend.

Talon Winery Shelbyville is a welcoming wine bar and event venue at 400 Gordon Ln, Shelbyville, KY. The homey space offers outdoor seating and a patio for live music. Guests praise a fairly large wine menu and approachable tastings, plus friendly, knowledgeable staff. It’s a clean, versatile spot for birthday parties, ladies events, wine tastings, bachelorette wine tastings, and cheese and crackers.
