I had a great experience here, the food was amazing. While the service was a little slow with our second drinks (not a big deal at all) they straight away comped us for the second round of drinks (even without asking). It was really really great atmosphere and I can’t recommend this place enough. There was some really great veggie options as well!

Good was nice but nothing crazy for the price. I got the lamb ragyu which was good. Had a lot of lamb and not enough pasta to go with it but it was very tasty. We also had the cauliflower which was very good.

Went for dinner with a friend. Ambience is lovely,the restaurant is beautiful a d the garden area is great. I booked an outdoor table and the waiter took us inside, thankfully there was a free table outside and we could sit where we wanted. We ordered the focaccia to start with, which came cold, absolutely not good. Had to wait for the waiter to look at us and ask him to get it warmed up. Our male waiter wasn't friendly not interested in providing a good service. The ladies on the contrarie were absolutely charming and very attentive. Once focaccia was warmer it wa a great. Also our mains were very good.

After a day of long walks out to the Sydney east coast and back to the city it was nice to stumble across The Vinery and their lovely outside seating area in Surry Hills. We had an apple juice and a very chilled house white wine (happy hour at the time). Just perfect.

Writing this review purely because our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. Georgie made our evening, her energy was amazing and she was so knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. She organised a birthday brownie and sparklers for us on the house, and made the dinner everything and more. Highly recommend The Winery for the food and atmosphere but if you get Georgie as your waitress then you are in for a treat!
