I went into this store in person because it had a good rating on Google and my goal was to stitch my leather jacket, as its inside lining was torn and one of its pockets had a hole in it. As soon as I entered, I saw this Indian looking lady who asked me what I wanted, so I explained to her. Honestly, her English was so poor. As I wanted a quote on the same day so I could leave my jacket there to be fixed, she just told me to scan a bloody QR code and send a message to someone on WhatsApp because she couldn’t contact them on the phone. She told me to take a video and pictures of the issues and basically send them to some random WhatsApp contact for a quote and wait for them to get back to me. And guess what? It’s been more than a week and I’ve heard nothing back. No quote, nothing. What’s worse is that I was genuinely going to pay an extortionate amount if they had quoted me something, because I knew no better. I’m actually thankful that the snail that is behind the WhatsApp didn’t reply and lost my custom. I found another tailor near my home and they solved my problem with my leather jacket for £55. But when I asked this lady how much it would cost just to fix a small hole in one of my jacket pockets in her opinion, she had the audacity to say it would probably be £20. I walked out then and there as I would have been fleeced. Do not go to this place. It’s a waste of time, and I have no idea why the reviews for this place are so high. I got saved from being ripped off, and I hope none of you are.

I took my work trousers to make the waist smaller. Got charged £30 and was asked to wait a week for it. After a week I have collected my trouser and the next day I have found out that the sewing of the right bottom of the trouser completely came off. I can’t say for certainty they removed it but it was completely fine before I left it there for a week which makes me think that this is what they might do so people go back and get charged for another £30. I personally won’t take this risk again and just go to toptailor next to them. They charge the same money and get the work done for next day and don’t try to scam you.

Don’t waste your money, go to TopTailor instead. It’s a franchise and both the customer service and technical knowledge is absolutely shocking. I went in to get a dress shortened, and all level as it was longer in the back. They pinned it while I was wearing it and instead of measuring after they just cropped it to the pins. I was also told to collect it on a certain day and it wasn’t ready so I had to go back again a few hours later. The dress was an inch shorter on one side than the other and when I pointed this out they tried to tell me it was correct even after showing on the off cut that they didn’t cut off evenly. The audacity to try and persuade me that they’ve done the right job when the evidence is in the measuremens and off cut was ridiculous. If they had graciously admitted it was wrong and offered to correct it, it would have been all good but I had to argue with them and speak to the manager to have it redone. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I’d recommend going to toptailor around the corner instead, they’re professionals. The only reason I didn’t this time was because I needed a shorter wait time but I won’t be doing that again.

Had to get some work trousers adjusted and repaired. The two ladies offered advice as to what would work best and last the longest. I received my trousers a few days later, adjusted and repaired perfectly. Great service, would highly recommend.

I had a bag which was ripped at the top and took it in for repair. The staff were extremely friendly and took some time to figure out the best solution before taking it away to fix. Having received the bag, I am very happy with the results - I was warned it would be different material used in the repair but it matches very well to the old material and looks great! Would definitely recommend!
