Thin Ice is the kind of place that makes a man slow his step, even when the road is calling. Shelves stacked with the work of local artists, small objects that seem to hum with their own quiet stories. The staff is great, straightforward and friendly, the kind of people who make a place feel right. I’ve been back more times than I can count, and I’ll go back again.

One of my favorite places to shop in Buffalo. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, and I appreciate their support of local artists. It's an awesome place to find one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts. An Elmwood Ave. institution!

Amazing selection of local goods and eclectic finds for gifts, plus adorable resident shop kitties and rescue kittens from TLC. Staff is friendly and welcoming! Shoutout to Larissa for always letting us say hi to the little ones.

This is a really nice gallery with lots of really cool pieces, but mostly I just had a lot of fun playing with the little kittens. They were so sweet, tiny and adorable and even the Mamma cat was super fun to watch. I even saw one who looked so much like my cat Barkley who left us in 2016. i definitely recommend stopping by but be careful around the little ones.

After visiting all the nearby gift shops... I deem this one the BEST gift shop in town. Why? Selection of local and nearby artists/products is unmatched. They've thought of just about everything. Also, they have foster kittens for adoption in the shop. Big win! Friendly staff! Fun and playful kittens!
