Can’t recommend thistle + elm enough!! I honestly hate shopping, but always enjoy it at thistle because of the helpful staff and I always want to walk away with just about everything in the store (when I normally just get overwhelmed and leave with nothing!) So many cute options that have lasted me SO many years and seasons!!

Unfortunately, I need to leave a negative review. While the clothing styles are current and trendy, the quality does not hold up. I purchased several items less than a year ago, and many are already falling apart. The tops have developed significant pilling, and the jeans and pants have become stiff and unflattering over time. Given the price point, this level of quality is unacceptable. Additionally, my experiences with customer service has been disappointing. I had contacted them about returns and was brushed off. Staff have been rude and dismissive, and on one occasion I visited during posted business hours (well before closing) and was abruptly told they were closing. Overall, the quality and customer experience do not justify the cost.

I have had a terrible experience here and I would urge anyone shopping here to reconsider giving your money to this store. I will explain why now. I came in here months ago looking for clothing, found out it was for women only, and then asked the workers for recommendations for other stores in the area for men's clothing. They were polite and professional. After that, I saw graffiti on a sign outside the mall, and wanted to see who did it so I could report it to the police. I like this mall. I asked the employee here if she saw the graffiti artist, and she told me no, but that I could probably speak to the manager and review their camera footage. The day the employee told me to speak to the manager I walked over, and an older woman came to the door and very rudely told me they were closed, then closed the door, locked it, and got out her phone and started taking pictures of me through the glass. I walked away and then after getting a sandwich walked back past the door to see if they were closed. She was still at the door and glared at me angrily then started calling someone. It was mid day and the hours posted on the door said they still were open for another 4 or 5 hours. I was confused and offended but just walked away to another store. Pretty much every other store in this area is good, has friendly staff, and is enjoyable to shop at. As I was walking away from the mall the police showed up and detained me, and then questioned me about what I had been doing that day. Eventually they stopped. I saw a police officer leave Thistle + Elm Boutique, who then told me I could leave. As I walk past this store sometimes, the employees here will come to the front and lock the door when I am paying them no mind, or give me dirty or scared looks as I am walking past. In my opinion they are a horrible and dirty business that would be better off closed. I say this because I believe the owner has been sharing these pictures of me and spreading rumors about me online to other business owners she knows, with no reason other than a personal vendetta which she has taken out on me. Again, this is just what has happened to me, I don't know her personally and I am not going back in this store. As far as my proof for her spreading rumors, this is based on her taking pictures of me with her phone, and the fact that another middleton business, Little Pops Color Shop, banned me from their premises when I had never heard of them, and had never been on their premises in my life. I have never met the manager of this store but she has genuinely abused me and taken out her own anger and issues on me with no provocation at all, and left me with my own emotional baggage. Please reconsider giving this business your money.

I shopped for the first time at thistle and elm a few weeks ago and fell in love with them! I was looking for a women’s boutique in the area and they do not disappoint! 10/10 experience; Their styles are amazing, and their staff has been nothing but kind and welcoming both times I have gone. One item I purchased did have a hole in it (I didn’t notice it until I was wearing it for the first time and had just taken the tags off) aside from that I have literally nothing but good things to say about this boutique. I look forward to continuing to build my wardrobe with their pieces!! :)

Thistle + Elm is forever one of my favorite places to shop! The storefront has such a cozy, aesthetic vibe and the clothing is beautifully curated, with high-quality pieces that will be your favorite closet staples! And, their customer service is fantastic! I've ordered online from them and it's always fast shipping. I can't recommend T+E enough!
