I’ve been here several times and the staff have always been very kind! They have a great selection of games and beer and the $10 entry fee is very reasonable considering you can play all of the games inside for free (just don’t forget to bring cash for the entry fee!) Based on some of the 1 star reviews here I feel compelled to mention that the bouncer was also very friendly. Everyone in my party had a valid ID and therefore we had no trouble entering

this would’ve been a 5 star experience for me, if it wasn’t for the severely rude behaviour of one staff member. i arrived at the bar and was having a great time, the games were sick and i was excited to have a fun night. i’m 19, celebrating my friends 20th birthday (we’re both in university) and after already having bought 2 beers and tipping generously, i approached the bar to buy another. i was immediately confronted by this EXTREMELY rude bartender about my tip. he looked at the machine and sarcastically told me i could’ve just put no tip because mine was “so low”. this was so embarrassing to experience while with someone, after kindly apologizing, explaining that we had already bought a couple beers and tipped him, and that we were students who aren’t currently working he just rudely responded with “if you’re a student, why are you here then?”. he had the audacity to extend this argument after i very well (as he suggested) could have not tipped at all but chose to AGAIN anyway. no one should ever have to be shamed or explain themselves about their financial/work situation, especially from a bar tender who didn’t do anything more than pour beer out of a tap and put down a couple of teenagers. tipping culture is not inclusive, necessary or something to hound students about. if tipping is SO important, pay your staff enough to be happy to be there. your most relevant market is literally young people who want to be able to afford a night out. i really wanted to address this behaviour with someone the night of but brushed it off since i was with someone and didn’t want to cause a scene. however, this interaction completely tainted my experience with the memory of a stingy, rude server. i can even tell based on other reviews and responses that kindness and generosity are not values this business holds. i would’ve been more than happy to return frequently, buy dinner, drinks, bring friends for future celebrations. now, i will NOT be returning and have already discouraged parties of friends from celebrating here because of this negative attitude. from one business owner to another, it’s really important to learn that kindness is free and customer service makes or breaks a business.
