This is the best fish store in central Texas. The staff are always able and ready to help. Like Sean, he is always engaged with the customers and eager to assist. Always a pleasure going to this store with such amazing staff.
I love it here. Staff is always so friendly and knowledgable. Any time I need new fish or plants I come here. My favorite LFS! Bonus: look how cute these puffers are!!!
I had a freak accident occur where my tank randomly turned red twice in the span of three days. I called and spoke with Blake, he was super helpful and offered to test a water sample. After the second time I took a sample in and spoke with Blake and Jon. Both men were incredibly kind and helpful. I walked out with a new canister filter and a plan. Jon even gave me rocks from their filters to help jump start the new canister filter. They had no guarantee that I would actually buy anything and were still more than happy to help me. I absolutely recommend this place. Good healthy stock, and they actually care. They will forever have my business.
I made the drive up here from far south Austin twice and both times I left with great and less commonly seen plants! Both stems and tissue culture. I also got a nice 20 gallon and a very healthy, beautiful Betta fish. They keep their bettas in 1 gallon cubes with plants and you can definitely see the difference in their health. My little guy (named Sriracha) had been fin nipping a bit (prob just the usual transportation stress) but otherwise was very healthy with beautiful coloring! 🤩 a few weeks into having him, he’s developed the best little puppy dog personality and his fins have grown back beautifully. Their prices are very reasonable and honestly not that much more than what some LFS charge for bettas kept in poor conditions. The other fish and shrimp Tiny offers also look v healthy and are reasonably priced too. I took forever to decide what I wanted for my next tank and the employees were great at answering all my questions about the various sizes. The manager that was there was also super friendly and knowledgeable— we chatted about paludariums for awhile but I ended up getting the 20 gallon to enable my stem plant obsession. I also appreciate that they checked in with me to make sure I understood how to properly set up and cycle my new tank too — I did know what to do but that is so important esp with newer fish keepers. I did an “instant” cycle with media from my established tank and some starter bacteria I had at home, and everyone is doing great! Overall, great experiences both times, the plants were very reasonably priced and already adjusted/adjusting to being grown submerged — all are doing great in my tanks with minimal melt. Def will come back again!
This place was amazing. Some beautiful displays, friendly staff, and even though they were cleaning tanks and working hard receiving fish, it was not messy and we didn't feel like we were in the way. Absolutely beautiful fish healthy fish and plants. Really enjoyed stopping by! We wanted to purchase a couple of fish but they had just arrived and were in quarantine and since we were just visiting Austin, it just didn't happen but we want to go back soon just got them!
